Philips has begun selling four new monitors under the 'Philips Monitors E1' series. In a press release, the compS21any explains that all rely on IPS panel technology while delivering 100 Hz refresh rates and USB Type-C connectivity that supports the 65 W Power Delivery Protocol. However, Philips has sought to distinguish the four in a few areas, including their panel sizes.
For reference, Philips is selling the four as the 24E1N1300A, 24E1N1300AE, 27E1N1300A and 27E1N1300AE. As their names suggest, Philips bases the 27E1N1300A and 27E1N1300AE around 27-inch (68.6 cm) panels. By contrast, the 24E1N1300A and 24E1N1300AE actually measure 23.8-inches (60.5 cm) across, a common rounding for monitors sold as 24-inch displays. Regardless, Philips describes the four in the following terms:
All models also offer features specifically designed to enhance and support the overall user experience, such as LowBlueMode and Flicker-free for easy-on-the-eye viewing, EasyRead feature allows for a paper-like reading experience, while a convenient cable management opening in the stand declutters the desk for a tidy workspace.
Additionally, all E1 series monitors output at 1080p (1,920 x 1,080) with 1 ms MPRT response times, 4 ms GtG response times and Adaptive Sync support. Moreover, Philips specifies 250 nits peak brightness for all four monitors, plus one HDMI 1.4 port and a trio of USB 3.2 connections, of which one is a modern USB Type-C port. In short, only a 100 mm height adjustable stand separates 'AE' models from their 'A' counterparts. Philips has priced the new E1 series as follows, with both 'AE' models due for release later this month:
- 24E1N1300A - £129.99/€169
