The PC version of Horizon Forbidden West will come with support for Nvidia DLSS 3, AMD FSR, and Intel XeSS, as well as DirectStorage to improve loading times on supported hardware.

Sony has just announced that the hit game Horizon Forbidden West will finally arrive on PC on March 21. The sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn was initially released on February 18, 2022 for the PlayStation 4 and 5 and received generally favorable reviews, with the PS5 version having a Metacritic score of 88/100.

While the game was developed by Guerilla Games, Sony announced that Nixxes Software, itself a part of PlayStation Studios since 2021, would be handling the PC port. It will come bundled with the Burning Shores expansion, which picks up after the main story, and is therefore labeled the Complete Edition.

The PC version will also feature some of the latest tech available, including Nvidia DLSS 3 (Super Resolution + Frame Generation + Reflex) and DLAA, as well as AMD FSR and Intel XeSS. Moreover, the game will leverage DirectStorage to improve loading times and support 21:9 and 32:9 ultrawide aspect ratios, along with 48:9 triple-monitor setups. Players will even have access to the adaptive trigger function of the DualSense controller (curr. $69 on Amazon), although it will seemingly only work in wired mode.

Horizon Forbidden West will land on Steam and the Epic Games Store on March 21. Users can already preorder the game for $59.99, and doing so will net them some bonus content, such as in-game items and cosmetics.
