Deal | Miyoo Mini retro handheld on sale for 25% off at Amazon
Retro handhelds are all the rage right now, and one of the most popular devices is currently 25% off at Amazon with a promo code.
The Miyoo Mini is a lilliputian emulation handheld designed to be portable and pocketable. The handheld has a tiny 2.8-inch IPS screen with a 640x480 resolution. Its case measures 3.68 x 2.56 x 0.71 inches (9.35 x 6.50 x 1.80 cm). It has a cross-shaped directional pad and the typical array of retro-styled controller buttons (ABXY in SNES configuration, Start, Select, and Menu) on the front. The back has four shoulder buttons in a line. Notably absent are analog sticks, meaning some games from the PlayStation era and beyond will not be playable.
The Miyoo Mini is powered by a dual-core ARM Cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with a simple GPU designed for 2D graphics acceleration. It has 128 MB of DDR3 RAM and a 2000 mAh battery. While its specs look rather paltry on paper, the Miyoo Mini can handle games through the 16-bit era (SNES, Sega Genesis) and can play most PlayStation 1 (PSX) and GameBoy Advance (GBA) titles without much trouble. However, Nintendo 64 (N64) games and beyond are out of reach.
The console normally retails on Amazon for $79.99, but using promo code 25MUMINIPLUS at checkout knocks 25% off the price, discounting the handheld to $59.99. Note that the sale is only on the Miyoo Mini, not the Miyoo Mini Plus (which features a larger screen and battery). The console ships with a pre-installed 64 GB microSD card, a microSD-to-USB-A adapter, a cleaning cloth, a carrying case, and a USB-C cable for charging. The sale ends at 12:01 AM Pacific Time (PST) on March 15 and is limited to the purple and black handhelds only.
