Google reveals Pixel 9 Pro Fold with brand new camera module and AI features in teaser video
Shortly after Google showcased the Pixel 9 Pro for the first time in a teaser video, the technology giant has just released a similar video for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold (embedded below). The video, which is around 30 seconds long, showcases the design of the next-generation folding flagship for around five seconds. The much thinner screen edges can be seen.
Google has apparently forgotten the punch-hole for the selfie camera. However, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold does not have an under-display camera; as photos from a certification show, the punch hole is located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. Google reveals the large, rectangular camera module, the shiny hinge and the name of the smartphone; all further details on the specs will follow at the launch event on August 13.

The first 20 seconds of the video focuses on Google's AI assistant, Gemini, who writes a farewell letter to the old smartphone before the Pixel 9 Pro Fold is theatrically unfolded. Even though Google does not comment further on the smartphone, reliable leaks have now revealed the most important details about the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
According to the leaks, the smartphone will be available in Europe with either 256 GB of storage for EUR 1,899 or 512 GB of storage for EUR 2,029, making Google's folding flagship a little cheaper than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6. Although the device is said to be thinner and equipped with the new Tensor G4, both selfie cameras and the ultra-wide-angle camera are said to have smaller sensors, while the main and telephoto cameras supposedly remain unchanged from the first-generation Pixel Fold.
