VIA Chrome9 HC

The integrated graphic card (shared memory) VIA Chrome9 HC IGP is found on the VN896 and 855 VXP chipsets for notebooks. The integrated graphic processor (IGP) offers DirectX 9.0 3D acceleration and a video accelerator for the MPEG playback. Further adaptive De-Interlacing and Video deblocking are supported up to a resolution of 1080i.
The performance of VIA Chrome 9 HC IGP is only the halve of current competitors of integrated graphic cards (Intel GMA 950, AMD XPress 1100) and even is overextended with the DirectX 9.0 functions of the Aero interface (of Windows Vista) (usage possible, but only with motion interruptions).
3D games are not really running well on this video card.
The VIA Chrome 9 HCM in the VIA 855 VXP chipset features an advanced video acellerator called VIA Chromotion Video Engine. With it, the chipset is able to decode HD videos in H.264, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, WMV9, and DivX in up to 1080p.
