NVIDIA GeForce 4 488 Go
The NVIDIA GeForce 4 488 Go is based on the desktop GeForce 4 MX chip but with additional power saving functions. Compared to the 460 go, the 488 features a higher core and memory clock rate and is the fastest mobile GeForce 4 4xx Go chip (the 4 4200 is still faster). The 488 Go is comparable to the GeForce 4 MX 440 desktop GPU.
The GeForce 4 Go series contains the VPE (Video Processing Engine) to decode MPEG-2 videos (not HD).
