Review: AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 3995WX and Radeon Pro W6800 in the Lenovo ThinkStation P620 high-end workstation
AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 3995WX | AMD Radeon Pro W6800
The AMD Radeon Pro W6800 is a high-end desktop workstation graphics card. It is based on the RDNA2 architecture and uses the Navi 21 chip. The W6800 features 3,840 shaders, 32 GB GDDR5 VRAM and a 256 bit memory bus (resulting in 512 GB/s max).
Therefore the GPU is similar to the consumer Radeon RX 6800 XT and offers a similar gaming performance. The W6800 however is intended for professional applications (CAD, rendering, simulations) and offers certified drivers.
The Radeon Pro W6800 is specified with a power consumption of 250 Watt (TGP). AMD is recommending at least a 650 Watt power supply.
