A new leak hints at a Nokia 8.3 5G variant headed for Verizon

Geekbench 5 now lists a set of results for a "HMD Global Nokia 8 V 5G UW". The last part of this elongated name suggests that it can use Verizon's ultra-wideband (or UW) form of the latest mobile-data standard, and may thus be locked to or at least sold through the carrier at launch. Therefore, this device, should it be real, may be a rebranded 8.3.

Even though the leaker now claims the manufacturer told him the PCB is for an RTX 3080 card, we can definitely spot a few elements that seem a bit overkill for an xx80 model: 11 memory modules for at least 22 GB of VRAM, triple 8-pin power connectors plus a hidden special chip on the back of the PCB. Micron, on the other hand, confirms that the RTX 3090 is indeed real and it will integrate the new 21 Gbps GDDR6X modules with 1 TB/s bandwidth.

CAT S42

73% CAT S42 Smartphone Review – Robust, rubberised and washable smartphone

Work at a lower price. The predecessor model retailed for about 500 Euros ($590). However, the CAT S42 is twice as cheap. This is possible because CAT has cut production costs, especially when it comes to the display and the battery. Read our review to learn whether or not the robust, waterproof smartphone is worth it.
