Motorola has unveiled that it will be hosting a hardware launch event on September 9. The event will be a virtual one, but the company claims that it is "getting ready to flip the smartphone experience once again". Motorola has published a teaser too, although the short clip reveals next to nothing about the hardware that will be unveiled on September 9.
Presumably, Motorola is planning to release a new version of the Razr, which has leaked several times in the last few weeks. Supposed live images have been published online, for example, which match the renders released by Evan Blass last month. Based on these leaks, the next version of the Razr will retain the design of the current model.
Additionally, the device is rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 765G SoC, which would be an upgrade over the Snapdragon 710 in the Razr 2019. 5G connectivity is apparently headed to the Razr 2020 also, so Motorola will probably market the device as the Razr 2020 5G. The 16 MP primary camera from the Razr 2019 has supposedly been exchanged for a 48 MP sensor, too.
