Motorola G9 Plus appears on retailer website ahead of launch, designs and specs leaked
Motorola's latest affordable mid-range smartphone has been spotted online ahead of its official unveiling. The Motorola G9 Plus launch appears imminent and follows closely on the heels of the official launch of the Motorola G9/G9 Play late last month.
Motorola’s G-series of affordable mid-range smartphones have been strong sellers several years now offering strong battery life and decent features at the price. Building on this legacy, the Lenovo-owned company launched the latest generation late last month in the form of the Motorola G9/G9 Play. Now, as spotted by Roland Quandt of WinFuture, Slovakian carrier Orange has posted a product page for the latest in the series, the Motorola G9 Plus.
Along with official renders of the device (confirming those previously leaked by Evan Blass), the Orange website gives us a first look at most of its specifications with the notable exception of the processor. Where the G9/G9 play is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 662, the G9 Plus is thought to be powered by the Snapdragon 730. This will be paired by 4 GB of RAM while it will also sport a decent 128 GB of expandable storage.
The Motorola G9 Plus centers on a large 6.81-inch LTPS IPS LCD display with a 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution with a small camera cut-out at the top left. On the rear is a quad-camera arrangement with only the main 64 MP sensor getting a mention on the specs page. Battery is rated at a hefty 5,000 mAh while it will ship with Android 10 out of the box. Cellular connectivity remains limited to 4G although it includes dual-SIM support.
Expect an official announcement and hopefully pricing and regional availability soon.

I have been writing about consumer technology over the past ten years, previously with the former MacNN and Electronista, and now Notebookcheck since 2017. My first computer was an Apple ][c and this sparked a passion for Apple, but also technology in general. In the past decade, I’ve become increasingly platform agnostic and love to get my hands on and explore as much technology as I can get my hand on. Whether it is Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, Nintendo, Xbox, or PlayStation, each has plenty to offer and has given me great joy exploring them all. I was drawn to writing about tech because I love learning about the latest devices and also sharing whatever insights my experience can bring to the site and its readership.
