Reviews for the MSI Prestige 15 A10SC
Low-power Intel with low-power Nvidia work great together for anyone interested in a high-performance ultra-thin laptop. If MSI can address the throttling, then the Prestige 15 can give other popular 15.6-inch Ultrabooks from Dell, HP, and Asus a run for the money.

Still, if portability and performance are important to you, the Prestige 15 is worth a close and hard look. Few other 15-inch notebooks are as slim and light. LG’s gram 15 is lighter but it relies on integrated graphics so its performance isn’t competitive at all. And while the ZenBook 15 might have identical specs, it’s thicker and heavier than the Prestige 15. The XPS 15 and Aero 15 might be more powerful but are heavier still. The two weigh about 400g or 25% more. If you need to carry around your notebook all day, every gram counts. It also helps that at S$2,649, the Prestige 15 (even with the optional 4K display) is much cheaper than the XPS 15 and Aero 15, though it's dearer than a similarly-spec'ed ZenBook 15 (S$2,498).

So this laptop would be a great competitor to something like the ZenBook 15 UX534, and even the XPS 15 in some areas. Especially, thanks to the fact that you have a reasonably powerful notebook, which can be both fast and quiet (not at the same time), and a battery lasting for more than 11 hours of Web browsing.

The MSI Prestige 15 is a content creator's laptop that weighs less—and, more importantly, costs less—than most of its rivals. Definitely worth a look.

If you’re looking for featherweight, ultraportable laptop, the $1,799 MSI Prestige 15 is a fantastic option since it weighs considerably less than its competitors. It’s got solid performace with its 10th Gen Intel Core i7 CPU and Nvidia GTX 1650 Max-Q GPU. The 4K display offers rich color that’s plenty bright. And the Flip-and-Share mode is perfect for collaborative creativity.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Max-Q: Mid range dedicated graphics card for thin and light laptops based on the GTX 1650 but with reduced clock speeds and power consumption. Uses the Turing architecture (TU117 chip in 12nm FFN) but without Raytracing or Tensor cores.
With these GPUs you are able to play modern and demanding games fluently at medium detail settings and HD resolution.

The CPU cores can clock between 1.1 and 4.7 GHz (all 6 cores 4.1 GHz max.) with HyperThreading (12 threads). The integrated memory controller supports DDR4-2666 and using cTDP up/down the performance can be adjusted by the OEM (12.5 - 25 Watt possible, 15W default).» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

15-inch display variants are the standard and are used for more than half of all laptops.
The reason for the popularity of mid-sized displays is that this size is reasonably easy on the eyes, often allows high resolutions and thus offers rich details on the screen, yet does not consume too much power and the devices can still be reasonably compact - simply the standard compromise.
