We tested the camera quality and gaming performance of the moto g 5g plus and we are impressed. It has decent cameras and a powerful and efficient chipset, but how fast is this device?

Diving into the capabilities of the moto g 5G plus showed many positives – not only is the 5G connection the cherry on top, but the display quality is also stunning, the user experience is handy, and the features on its camera will surely be a worthy upgrade. Our Motorola Moto G 5G Plus review shows us that the firm’s first mid-range phone back from the dead is a solid one, and it’s hard to ignore the phone’s Php 16,990 price tag here. Of course, the Moto G 5G Plus faces competition from the likes of the OnePlus Nord N10 5G which retails for a few thousand pesos less, though you’re getting a slightly less capable processor and lower battery capacity overall.

Overall, I don’t think you can go too far wrong spending $499 on the Moto G 5G Plus. It’s a solid device with great battery life at the right price, and that’s a good mix of features to have.

The Moto G 5G Plus is a good all-rounder with a better chipset, battery life and screen quality than many other devices at its price point. It’s also got a bigger screen than its siblings. The fact that it’s also 5G-compatible makes it an even more tempting offer, as it’s the cheapest 5G phone at launch, although as with all Moto phones it has its fair share of annoying quirks. It’s good, especially as a cheap 5G handset, but not game-changing.

It’s not the prettiest, but the Moto G 5G is a fantastic 5G Android phone for under £300 with fast performance, long battery life and a good main rear 48-megapixel camera.

This is a new SmartPhone designed for 5G but that still works using 4G if you live or work in an area currently without 5G coverage. This is supplied with a transparent back and sides silicon cover that stops the cameras being proud on the back which means that you can lay it on any surface without any danger of scratching that surface.

This isn't just a good phone because it offers 5G future-proofing. It's simply just a good phone for all it offers: a big screen, smooth software experience, and a sensible price. It looks a little plasticky and the cameras are an oversell, but otherwise there's little within this class that can touch this Moto.

It may not have the wow factor look of other mid-range smartphones available right now, but the Moto G 5G Plus certainly makes up for it in the performance department.

If you are in market for a 5G phone now, but have a limited budget the Moto G 5G Plus is certainly shaping as a very sensible all-rounder. You get a decent 90Hz IPS panel, great battery life, clean Android with a couple of cool customizations and features on top and a capable chipset. And if the cameras didn't need some extra work and the screen was OLED, this phone would have been an outright steal at that price.

Motorola wraps up 5G, impressive performance and a great screen in a smartphone that won't cost you much at all. While some corners have been cut to get the phone to this price, we think the Moto G 5G offers plenty of bang for buck in most key categories.

For £299 (or £349 for the 6GB RAM version) you’re a getting an Android phone that easily matches handsets that cost twice the price. Performance is great, the software is clean and the screen is bright and fast. It charges up quickly and lasts for ages and it even takes pretty good photos. Add to that 5G and the new Moto G easily earns a place as one of 2020's best value smartphones.

So far in 2020, Motorola has only managed to impress us with its phones. We were pleasantly surprised by the flagship Motorola Edge Plus, a phone with a great display and long battery life. Also, we were delighted by the Motorola One Fusion+, an affordable smartphone with a good camera and long-lasting battery.

The Moto G 5G Plus has a huge 6.7-inch screen, six cameras, and 5G connectivity, so on paper it’s a big step up for the phone line. But not all of that translates to a transformed user experience, so it just feels like a Moto G9. In fact, the real biggest change is the relocated fingerprint sensor, which in itself brings a new trick many might find useful. However its super-low price tag, at least for a 5G phone, might make it appealing to many more people than a 5G phone would normally be.
