Oppo Reno 5 5G is a typical mediocre. It doesn't have any major downsides, but it doesn't offer too many "bells" either - apart from maybe super fast charging. It is perfectly correct. Handy, comfortable, with a good display, good performance, good looks and decent cameras. You can only complain about trifles, but you also need to look carefully for features that will make it stand out from the crowd. It can be praised for its rich set or the presence of a minijack, for its convenient interface or for its lightness. Oppo Reno 5 5G has a lot of advantages, but also some shortcomings: no microSD card slot, not waterproof, no optical stabilization whether it is not charging wirelessly. Against this background, its price (around 380 euros) is also correct, as is the whole smartphone. Neither too high nor particularly occasional. Oh, acceptable. Like the whole Oppo Reno 5 5G. Buying this phone is certainly not a risky one.

The Oppo Reno5 5G’s R15k price tag puts it below high-end phones, the likes of the Samsung Galaxy S21 5G, but above the midrange devices. Price wise it’s very close to the Huawei P40, but with Huawei’s continued Android problems, it’s fairly easy to recommend the Reno5 above the Huawei, plus it also has the P40 beat on the specs side.

It's light, it's compact, it charges fast, and it shoots well in the dark. But it's still no match for the cut-throat mid-range market where even stereo speakers are a standard feature. Oppo's mid-range devices have always had some trouble competing with the rest price-wise. It's hard to argue with the likes of Poco F3 and the Mi 10T Pro as they both offer better price/performance ratio while asking less than the Reno5 5G.

At R14 999 (RRP), the Oppo Reno5 5G is of the more expensive side of the mid-range range. That said, it is certainly more premium than most of the devices you’ll find in this segment. When weighed up against the flagship offerings out there, which are all more expensive, the Reno5 5G serves as a viable alternative for those who cannot stomach flagship prices.

Overall, The Reno 5 5G is packed with more features than its predecessor, especially in the camera section. The design is stunning, it isn’t for everyone but more will pick the Galactic Silver color variant since it looks striking and I can’t deny it. On its performance, we generally approve the Gaming capability and UI design. Despite the fact that without expandable storage and with only 128GB capacity, Reno 5 5G is simply one of the midrange phones you can add to the lists when buying midrange 5G phones in 2021.

We reviewed the camera quality of the new OPPO Reno 5 5G. It has 64MP main camera and it is a featured pack smartphone. But is it enough to spend your money on?

The OPPO Reno5 5G is a competently made phone with contemporary design, a decent set of cameras, an excellent 90Hz AMOLED display as well as a generous set of accessories but the lack of expandable memory makes it fall short of what would be an decent , if pricey midrange phone.

The Reno5 5G is one device packed with some impressive specs for something that costs PHP 23,999. We can say that it can be a hot pick based on its excellent camera performance. There is support for a 90Hz high refresh rate and good battery life. Yes, there are many good devices in the market around this price range, but the Reno5 5G is undoubtedly not one to be missed out on.

Yes, our OPPO Reno 5 5G review shows that the phone may seem pretty iterative in the Philippines but there are a lot of subtle changes that make a big difference. The build quality and feel of the phone make it feel more premium, the upgraded chipset for better performance plus 5G connectivity, and the crazy charging speeds make for a pretty solid phone.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.80.33%: This rating is slightly above average, there are somewhat more devices with worse ratings. However, clear purchase recommendations look different.
