The Oppo F33 Pro 5G is positioned as a stylish mid-range smartphone in the F30 series, with reviews averaging around 80 percent. It features a 6.57-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, 8GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, 5G connectivity, and Android 16 with ColorOS 16. Its standout strengths are design, durability, and battery life, supported by IP68/IP69K protection, MIL-STD-810H toughness, and a 7000mAh battery. Reviewers describe it as a solid lifestyle phone for regular use rather than a performance-focused device. The handset is priced from Rs. 37,999 in India, but critics argue it is not the best value in its segment. Competing models from OnePlus, Samsung, Redmi, and Realme offer stronger performance, better software, larger batteries, or more capable cameras.

Reviews for the Oppo F33 Pro

In the end, it’s safe to say that the Oppo F33 Pro is a phone that rewards you instantly but makes your mind question later on. On one hand, the design is excellent, the display is bright and vibrant, and the battery will easily keep you away from the wall. Even the selfie camera is among the best at this price. If you were to buy this phone based on a quick demo, you would feel good about it. However, once you start to dig deep, things like the performance chops of the Dimensity 6360 Max, the dated UFS 2.2 storage, and the limited camera system start to reveal the gap between what this phone looks like and what it actually is. Honestly, that’s like the middle child dilemma that the phone suffers with. Stuck between the performance-focused K-series and the camera-focused Reno series, it’s almost kind of a hard sell. But nonetheless, for a buyer who prioritises build quality, battery, and selfies above all else, the Oppo F33 Pro is a solid pick. For everyone else, at the price of Rs 37,999, you can easily consider phones that offer more performance and much better cameras.

The Oppo F33 Pro 5G is currently on pre-order in India at Rs. 37,999 for the base RAM and storage configuration. It is overall a decent handset, but at the same time, it is far from value-for-money. However, looking at its competition, the Oppo F series handset is the only model to have dared to break away from predefined, market-tested designs. If you like the attention it attracts, the Oppo F33 Pro 5G is one of the top contenders in the category. However, the OnePlus Nord 6 and the Samsung Galaxy A37 are significantly better devices than Oppo's handset, with OnePlus relying heavily on performance and battery, while Samsung takes advantage of its higher brand value and superior software experience.

The OPPO F33 Pro isn’t a smartphone that gets everything right. The handset isn’t chasing raw performance, a sharper display, and stronger photography. For such things, you can consider alternatives. If you are seeking a smartphone that serves looks and is durable at the same time, the OPPO smartphone should be your pick. The F33 Pro nails the design, along with battery life for regular usage, and reliable performance, making it a solid lifestyle device.

First things first, the OPPO F33 Pro is not the only smartphone in the Rs 40,000 range to offer high standards of durability. The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ (review) comes closest to the OPPO smartphone within the segment, followed by the OnePlus Nord 6 (review) and the Realme 16 (review). The latter also stands out for its sleek design, and the mirror selfie next to the back camera. The OnePlus smartphone remains among the most powerful offerings, with a massive 9,000mAh battery. As for the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, it boasts a massive 200MP camera and a relatively more capable chipset. However, none of these alternatives is as swanky as the OPPO F33 Pro.

The Oppo F33 Pro is built to handle real life literally. It comes with IP68/IP69K dust and water resistance, meaning it can survive being dunked in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes, and even handle high-pressure water jets. It also meets MIL-STD-810H military standards for toughness, so it is more durable than your average phone. The body has a glass front but uses a plastic frame and back to keep things lightweight at 194 grams. Under the hood, it runs on Android 16 with Oppo’s ColorOS 16, and packs a Mediatek Dimensity 6360 Max chip. That is a solid mid-range processor that can handle daily apps, social media, and light gaming without breaking a sweat. You get 128GB or 256GB of storage (with a microSD card slot for more), plus 8GB of RAM.
