Realme 16x - Reviews and Specs
Pros
Cons
The Realme 16x is a mid-range 5G smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor and up to 6 GB of RAM. Its standout feature is a 7,000 mAh battery, complemented by 45 W fast charging, reverse charging, and bypass charging. The 6.81-inch IPS display offers a smooth 144 Hz refresh rate but has a modest 1570 × 720 resolution. Performance is dependable for routine tasks and casual gaming, although the chipset and Mali-G57 MP2 graphics are not suited to demanding games. A 50 MP main camera provides decent results, but the lack of an ultrawide lens reduces versatility. Overall, reviewers rate it as a good battery-focused device while noting stronger displays and cameras among competing models.

Reviews for the Realme 16x

The Realme 16x isn’t the most well-rounded smartphone out there. It even lacks the battery capacity of the Moto G77 Power (review) and Redmi Note 17 (review), which even offer an ultrawide lens and an AMOLED display, respectively. However, the Realme smartphone still manages to get the basics right, delivering excellent backup with its 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.

The Realme 16x is priced in India starting at Rs 25,999, selling at Rs 23,999 for a limited period. This places it in the same territory as the Redmi Note 17 (review) and Moto G77 Power (review). Both are battery-focused smartphones; however, the Redmi smartphone excels with its AMOLED display while the Moto G77 Power has a dedicated ultrawide lens and superior selfie camera. Performance is reliable for regular tasks and casual gaming, while the IP65 rating, MIL-STD-810H certification and bypass charging add to its appeal.

To conclude, the Realme 16x 5G, with a price tag of Rs. 25,999 for the base 4GB + 128GB RAM and storage option, is more than just a decent device. Sitting between the Realme 16T 5G and Realme P4R, the Realme 16x 5G offers better camera performance and battery life, while offering the same underwhelming display, underpowered MediaTek chipset, and a decent UI experience.

The realme 16x 5G is clearly built around one major strength – battery endurance. The combination of a massive 7,000 mAh battery, 45W fast charging, 6.5W reverse charging, and long-term battery health promise makes it particularly interesting for those who don’t want to worry about charging frequently. From our initial hands-on experience, the realme 16x 5G feels like a sensible option for those who value long battery life, smooth everyday usage, a high-refresh-rate display, durability, and a feature-rich software experience more than raw benchmark performance.
