80% Realme 16 Pro review: strong battery life, sturdy design, but performance feels limited
Source: 91mobiles English
The Realme 16 Pro gets many of the fundamentals right. Its vibrant display, excellent battery life, loud stereo speakers and sturdy build make it a reliable daily driver for most people. You can comfortably get through a full day of social media, streaming and casual gaming without worrying about charging. However, it isn’t without its drawbacks. The chipset is underwhelming for the price, there’s no telephoto camera for a more versatile photography experience, and the phone tends to run warm during extended gaming sessions.

Realme 16 Pro Specifications, Pros and Cons
Source: OI Spice Tech News English
Realme launched the Realme 16 Pro on January 6, 2026, and it hit the market just two days later. It is a slim and modern phone with a 7.8 mm thickness, weighing 192g, and offered in both regular plastic and eco-friendly silicone polymer (eco leather) backs. It also achieves IP68/IP69K rating, so water, dust, and even high-pressure jets are not an issue, making it more rugged than most slim mid-range phones. On the front sits a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 144Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1B colors, and high PWM for comfort.

Realme 16 Pro review: A good phone let down by its price
Source: Think Digit English
The Realme 16 Pro is, by most measures, a good mid-range phone. It delivers strong battery life, a capable 200-megapixel main camera, and a smooth, bright display that performs well in everyday use. As a daily driver, it is reliable and easy to live with. However, it is difficult to ignore the pricing. At Rs 31,999, the decision to move from a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 to the Dimensity 7300 chip feels like a compromise driven by rising component costs rather than user benefit. This effectively makes the current performance level the new default for Realme at this price, while the Realme 16 Pro Plus retains the Snapdragon chip at a significantly higher cost.

80% Realme 16 Pro review: A surprisingly well-rounded upgrade
Source: India Today English
The Realme 16 Pro starts at Rs 31,999 for the 8GB/128GB variant. At a time when reports are surfacing that the smartphone industry is set for a price hike, Realme has managed to keep the prices unchanged from last year. For the asking price, the Realme 16 Pro offers a good camera experience and solid battery life. The design also looks fresh, and the display is quite good, too. The performance may not be the best in the segment, but for an average user, it will do the job. So, the Realme 16 Pro brings a good overall package for someone who wants a good camera, a bright display and long battery life, and for what it’s worth, you won’t need to shell out more for the device compared to its predecessor.

80% Realme 16 Pro+, Realme 16 Pro Review: A New Dawn for Realme
Source: NDTV Gadgets English
To conclude, the Realme 16 Pro series does bring some interesting upgrades over its predecessors. The Realme 16 Pro+ packs a punch when it comes to the design. The Gold colour option looks and feels premium, while still maintaining that unique proposition. The display is yet another major strong suit of the smartphone, while the performance is decent. The camera needs minor improvements to address the overprocessing issue. However, the battery life is on par with the rest of the competition. Coming to the Realme 16 Pro, it is a more practical device built for everyday use. You still get a premium, silky design, and the flat frame makes it easier to hold in your hand.

76% Realme 16 Pro Plus Review: Massive Battery and Stunning Display but Is It Worth the Price?
Source: Exhibit.tech English
The Realme 16 Pro Plus is a solid and dependable smartphone that excels in display quality, battery life, and durability. However, its conservative upgrades and premium pricing hold it back. At Rs 39999, it struggles to stand out, especially when Realme’s own GT series offers significantly better performance for less money. If your priorities include long battery life, a curved AMOLED display, and strong water resistance, the Realme 16 Pro Plus makes sense. For most users, though, it becomes a much better deal once the price drops closer to Rs 30000.

86% Realme 16 Pro+ review
Source: GSM Arena English
If Realme's goal was to offer one of the best camera experiences in this class, we can confidently say it achieved it. The outstanding battery life is another standout feature. The display may not be the best, but it's solid nonetheless, providing a good viewing experience outdoors. The loudspeakers leave more to be desired, though. Unfortunately, the cameras and battery life come at a price premium. At least at launch, the Realme 16 Pro+ is a bit too pricey and ships with 128GB base storage. So, in case you are not into mobile photography that much, but value raw performance and charging speed highly, there are more sensible solutions at a much lower price. At least until Realme's price settles to more palatable levels.

75% Realme 16 Pro Plus review: Reliable but plays it little too safe
Source: India Today English
The Realme 16 Pro Plus is a dependable smartphone that excels in display quality, battery life, and durability. However, its biggest challenge is not what it lacks, but how it is positioned. At Rs 39,999, it struggles to stand out when Realme’s own GT 7 delivers significantly stronger performance for less money. For users who prioritise long battery life, a premium-looking curved display, and top-tier water resistance, the Realme 16 Pro Plus makes sense. For those chasing performance and value, there are better options in the same price bracket, such as the Realme GT 7, OnePlus 13R, and more. Ultimately, it feels less like a bold upgrade and more like a careful refinement. You can consider buying the 16 Pro Plus when the price drops under Rs 30,000, and if the camera is not on your priority list.

4 reasons to buy the Realme 16 Pro+ and 3 reasons not to buy
Source: 91mobiles English
At over 200 gms, the Realme 16 Pro+ is quite heavy. Even though the curved design helps with grip and balance, extended use can feel tiring, particularly for users who prefer lighter phones for one-handed use or long reading sessions. The Realme 16 Pro+ is suited for users who prioritise camera performance, battery life, and a distinctive design with durability. It’s a dependable daily driver that handles most tasks and offers a camera system that performs well across most scenarios.

82% Realme 16 Pro+ review: gold standard for mid-range photography?
Source: 91mobiles English
The Realme 16 Pro+ starts at Rs 39,999 for the 8GB + 128GB variant and goes up to Rs 44,999 for the 12GB + 256GB model. This is a substantial price increase, largely driven by rising production costs and the ongoing industry-wide RAM shortages. This firmly places the device in the premium mid-range category, so let’s see what you get for your money. You are offered a very capable camera setup that performs well across various shooting scenarios. The telephoto and primary cameras, in particular, do well in most lighting conditions, and while the ultrawide lens is a bit lacking, the selfie camera proves very useful.Performance, while not the best in the segment, is certainly not bad.
