The Mate 40 Pro, and by extension the Mate 40, will arguably be Huawei's biggest product launch before the end of the year. The two devices are thought to be launching alongside EMUI 11 in September or October, but a new leak claims that they will not be arriving in Europe.
According to @RODENT950, only the Mate 40 Lite will be released in Europe of the Mate 40 series. Huawei is apparently planning to release new P Smart and Y series smartphones too, including the P Smart Pro 2021. This would suggest that the company is focusing more on selling mid-range and entry-level devices in the region for the time being, rather than pricey flagships like the Mate 40 Pro.
Some Honor devices are in the works too, like the Honor Hunter and Honor MagicBook Pro. Honor has already released the latter in China, while it has started teasing the Honor Hunter gaming laptop on Weibo. It is unclear what the HJC, HCL and JSC are though. The full list of devices that will supposedly be gracing European retailers are as follows:
- Huawei Mate 40 Lite E FRL
- Huawei P Smart Pro 2021 FRL
- Huawei P Smart 2021 PPA-
- Huawei Y9a FRL
- Huawei Y7a PPA
- Honor Hunter V700 FRD-WFD9, FRD-WDG9
- Honor MagicBook Pro
- Honor 10C DDG
- Honor HJC
- Honor HCL
- Huawei JSC
