Marketing renders of the upcoming Huawei MateBook X have been revealed ahead of its release on August 19. The renders confirm that Huawei has developed four colours for its premium laptop, which will have minimal bezels and a large trackpad. Huawei has started releasing promotional videos for the MateBook X, too.

The reveal of the MateBook X is but two days away, and Huawei has now published a teaser video for the device on Weibo. Sparrows News has republished the video on YouTube, which we have included below. Huawei is focusing on how light the MateBook X is, with the video suggesting that even the humble ladybird could lift the laptop. While that evidently would not be possible, the device is believed to weigh around 1 kg.

Huawei has also posted a video highlighting the trackpad on the MateBook X. Rumours have suggested that Huawei will market the device as having a "FreeTouch" trackpad, which will be comparable the Force Touch trackpads in recent Macs.

Several marketing renders have been published on Weibo too. Huawei has not uploaded these, but they look legitimate. The renders show the MateBook X in four colours and confirm the placement of its USB Type-C port and 3.5 mm headphone jack. It remains unclear whether the MateBook X will feature any other ports, though.
