Leaker Digital Chat Station has offered new details about the MateBook X. According to their information, the MateBook X will have a 13-inch display and a FreeTouch trackpad, which will replicate the feel of Apple's Force Touch trackpads. The MateBook X is said to weigh around 1 kg too and will arrive on August 19.

It has been a few days since Huawei first teased the next MateBook X, which it will unveil on August 19. The Chinese company only shared a photo showing one side of the device, confirming that it will have an incredibly thin chassis along with a headphone jack and at least one USB Type-C port.

Now, Digital Chat Station has offered some details about Huawei's upcoming ultrabook. According to the leaker, the MateBook X will have a 13-inch screen, which has already confirmed been confirmed as a 3K panel. Additionally, the device will have a FreeTouch trackpad that will also have built-in NFC for Huawei Share functionality.

Digital Chat Station likens this "FreeTouch" technology to Apple's Force Touch trackpads, although Huawei will go one step further with the inclusion of an NFC reader. The next MateBook X will not feel cheap either, which we would have expected anyway considering the build quality of the current MateBook X.

There is no word on pricing yet, but we doubt that the MateBook X will be cheap, either. We would expect Huawei to release the MateBook X internationally too, but the company will likely sell the device in China at first.
