Huawei refreshes EMUI 10.1 upgrade plans in four regions
Huawei has updated its EMUI 10.1 upgrade plans in four regions. The company has been powering through issuing updates to its devices, and has now delivered the OS upgrade to all Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro handsets in Africa and the Middle East. The company has now only yet to begin upgrading the Mate Xs to EMUI 10.1 in the two regions, the process for which it claims it will begin in early September. Additionally, Huawei continues to push the update to the Mate 20 X (5G) and Nova 5T in batches in Africa and the Middle East.
EMUI 10.1 has been delivered to all users of the Mate 20 X (5G) in Western Europe, too. While Huawei has started upgrading all devices to its latest OS in the region, it may be a few months before it finishes its upgrade plan there.
Similarly, the EMUI 10.1 rollout has been completed for all Mate 20 X (5G) handsets in North-East Europe. There are no changes to other regional EMUI 10.1 upgrade plans, though. We imagine that Huawei will update its plans for Central Asia, Russia, Latin America, Canada and Japan in the coming weeks. Please note that these upgrade plans only apply to devices that are factory unlocked. If you own a network or carrier-locked device, then we would recommend contacting your provider for news about the EMUI 10.1 rollout for your handset.
