Reviews for the Samsung Galaxy A41
With its Galaxy A series, Samsung has made a name for itself by offering affordable but well-equipped smartphones. Correspondingly, the expectations on its newest product of the series, the Galaxy A41 mid-range smartphone, are high. With its 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display, an octa-core SoC, and a 48-MP triple camera, the smartphone brings some good prerequisites.

The Samsung Galaxy A series has been enjoying immense popularity in recent years. After the huge success of the Galaxy A10 and the popularity of the A51, Samsung is on a mission to cover every possible buying scenario in the mid-tier segment. The Samsung Galaxy A41 is another great addition to the A family. It manages to hide its simple origins under some clever design ideas and offers an excellent package for the price. The gorgeous 6.1-inch Super AMOLED display can justify the €250 price tag alone, and then there’s the adequate camera system, the cool back panel, and the excellent battery life, despite the all-around slim waistline of the device. Affordable phones have never been so exciting.

Sure, the Galaxy A41 is not a gaming champ, but you can manage by lowering the in-game resolution if possible. And if the poor graphic punch is an issue, well, there are faster phones on the same price, just not this small or with an AMOLED.

The Galaxy A41 is an excellent compact mid-ranger, and if you don’t like big phones and don’t wish to spend on the flagship Galaxy S20 or last year’s Galaxy S10e, the A41 will serve you well. The beautiful AMOLED display is easy to handle with one hand, the performance is good as long as you don’t intend to play heavy games, the battery can often last a full day, and you get the latest Samsung software. It’s not perfect, but if a compact and affordable phone is what you’re after, the Galaxy A41 comes pretty close.

Model:
The rise of Chinese brands in the Android smartphone industry was mainly due to the cheaper price point without compromising on specs and the qualities that these brands could offer. They mainly skimped on the ‘nice-to-have features’ and focused more on the absolutely necessary specs that would make an Android phone perform well. For a long time, this seemed like a sure-to-win category for Chinese brands, and with so many companies entering and failing in this market, such as Sony, Nokia and HTC, it only proved that they could not adapt the same strategies to sell in this space. However, Samsung has been hitting back hard in the past two years. It first started by placing the Galaxy-A series in its mid-range lineups and introducing another M series as a budget series. A few upgrades from the same models have passed, and Samsung seems to be doing better in this field. It has even beat some Chinese brands in some areas of this market.
The Galaxy A41 is one of its newest introductions in the A-series lineup. It seems that Samsung is trying to make an A-device for every digit between one and nine, each serving a slight upgrade over the smaller one or perhaps catering to an entirely different market all together. On the surface, it seems like the A41 should stand between the already famous A31 and A51, but it does not. For a start, at 6.1 inches, the A41’s screen is smaller than that of both the A31 and A51, with their 6.4-inch and 6.5-inch screen respectively. They all sport the same AMOLED display with the same 1080 x 2400 pixels resolution, but due to its smaller size and relatively smaller bezels, the A41 has a higher pixel density. The phone ships with the latest Android 10 with One UI 2 and the same Mediatek MT6768 processor as the A31. It has 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Performance should be fine for general usage and some gaming, but the A31 can be obtained with more memory. The rear cameras for both phones are exactly the same, but the A41 has a bigger 25-megapixels front camera for better selfies. Other features that are also similar to its close siblings include an under-display fingerprint scanner, a headphone jack and a Type-C connection that supports 15W fast charging.
When it comes to the battery size, though, the A41 seems to have fallen back much further compared to the other two. It only has a 3,500mAh battery – tiny compared to the A31’s 5,000mAh and A51’s 4,000mAh battery. The A41 then seems to be targeting a different market with a lower budget, as it is cheaper than the A31. Nevertheless, it is a great phone with excellent specs for its price, and it stands out in the mid-range category with its AMOLED display and under-display fingerprint scanner. However, its battery size might be a concern for users who prefer not to charge their phone often.

6.10":
Only a few smartphones have larger screens.
Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.
0.152 kg:
Only few smartphones are more lightweight than this.
