Reviews for the Motorola Moto G24
You can get the Motorola Moto G24 for under US$200 without having to compromise on NFC, stereo speakers and an attractive case. On the flip side, you can't expect the best performance, but is the affordable phone still worth taking a look at?

Now, onto recommendations. As I mentioned, each smartphone has its own set of advantages, and the price reflects that. When you choose between the Moto G14 and G24, you’re essentially choosing between a 90Hz HD+ screen and a 60Hz FHD+ screen, along with different designs. If battery life and power are more important to you, then pay a little extra and go for the G24 Power. The difference between the Moto G32 and Moto G54 also comes down to price primarily, and by paying a bit more, you get Moto Now, optical stabilization, a larger battery, a better display, and 12GB of RAM. However, you lose the SD card slot. And the choice between the Moto G72 and Moto G84 5G, I’ve essentially explained.

With a bit more power under the hood and better cameras, the Moto G24 stands out as a decent mid-point from Motorola’s latest G-series range. Its overall performance is smoother than the G04, and it takes better photos in a range of lighting conditions. For a bit over $200, this versatile handset suits folks who want a smooth display and don’t mind a slightly lower resolution. It’s also nice to benefit from contactless payments and NFC technology in such an affordable device.

I really haven’t dealt with budget smartphones for a long time; I’ve mostly been testing flagship or near-flagship devices. That’s why I wanted to experience this. It’s pleasantly surprising to see that mobile phone manufacturers are paying a lot of attention to design, interface, and even screens in the budget segment. These are no longer sluggish smartphones where you can’t open multiple apps simultaneously, where the screen is dim, and the body is made of cheap plastic. The budget segment has indeed made a huge leap forward, and that’s really cool. I liked the bright pink-colored body and how it feels in hand. While among flagships, there’s currently a trend to somehow reduce the size, make devices more attractive, in the budget segment, it seems like everyone has huge hands and wants a large screen. The Motorola Moto G24 is a good budget smartphone that truly delivers value for money. It has an attractive design, quite decent cameras for this category of mobile devices, good battery life, and sufficient performance.

The Motorola Moto G24 is the perfect smartphone to go for on a budget. Let’s start with the display, you get a great display that is perfect in so many ways. The chipset can also go toe to toe with other smartphones in the same price range. The same goes for the cameras and the battery. On top of these, the smartphone sports a decent design that won’t embarrass you when you take it out of your pocket. The smartphone also has dust and water resistance. Its only real con is the lack of 5G but considering the price, it can be exempted. It has many modern features that you will rarely find in other smartphones in the same price range. But if this smartphone is not available in your country, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi 13C. It not only brings 5G but also has better features in almost every way. But then again it also costs a bit more. However, the final decision is up to you, so it is better to choose a smartphone based on your needs and requirements.

Motorola Moto G24
Motorola has started 2024 with one of its budget offerings, the Motorola Moto G24. As far as its design and display is concerned, this model flaunts a plastic back instead of the vegan leather as seen on other Motorola smartphones lately, including the Moto G34. Despite its seemingly ordinary appearance, this device boasts a clean design with a matte finish, keeping fingerprints and smudges at bay. In addition to that, there is no cut-out for the camera module. Instead, there is a slight hump around the two individual camera rings, seamlessly blending in with the rest of the body. It is also worth mentioning that the phone is also protected against minor splashes, all thanks to the IP52 rating. Furthermore, it weighs only 197 grams, making it rather comfortable to be held for prolonged usage. Apart from that, the fingerprint scanner has been placed on the right spine of the phone where the thumb would naturally lie while holding the smartphone. While the scanner is quite accurate, it does operate at a slightly slower pace though. The scanner also doubles up as a power button to turn the Moto G24 on and off. There is also a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer at the bottom edge.
As for its performance, the smartphone has been incorporated with a budget-friendly MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of user-expandable storage. It should be kept in mind that swift performance is definitely not the smartphone’s forte, so one might want to keep it away from graphically demanding games and multitasking. In contrast, the handset is more ideal for basic usage, such as messaging, calling, browsing, and checking social media apps. In terms of its camera setup, this model features a dual-rear camera setup which comprises of a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP macro lens. On the front, there is a 16MP snapper in a punch-hole setup. Overall, these are good daylight cameras at best and the results are definitely pleasing, with acceptable details and colour accuracy in well-lit areas. While the dynamic range tends to be a bit underwhelming, the primary camera is quick to focus on subjects and process images. As for its battery, the Moto G24 has been equipped with a 6,000mAh battery, which given its usage should easily last for a day and then some between charges. It was found to roughly last around 8 hours of screen-on-time with browsing, streaming, and navigation. Talking about its charging, the smartphone comes in with a 33W fast charging adapter and a USB Type-A to Type-C charging cable, for user convenience. In a nutshell, this is definitely a great smartphone to be explored, depending on the need and preference of the user.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

The original company Motorola Inc was split up in 2011. Motorola Mobility got the smartphone division and was taken over by Google in 2012 and Lenovo in 2014.
The company is known for its cell phones and other electronic devices such as smartwatches, tablets and accessories. Motorola was one of the first companies to produce cell phones, and in recent years has also innovated in the areas of 5G technology and modular smartphones (Moto Mods). 75.87%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
