Xiaomi Poco C85

Xiaomi Poco C85
The article reviews the Xiaomi Poco C85 as an aggressively priced entry-level smartphone that prioritizes a huge 6.9‑inch 120 Hz display and 6000 mAh battery over premium components. It compiles multiple test reports to weigh everyday performance, camera quality, and feature set against similarly priced budget rivals from Realme and Redmi.

Pros

+ Massive 6000mAh battery
+ Large 6.9‑inch display
+ Smooth 120Hz refresh
+ Stable everyday performance
+ Decent social media cameras
+ Reverse charging support
+ Android 15 with HyperOS
+ IP64 dust splash protection
+ Expandable microSD storage
+ Affordable for budget buyers

Cons

- Only 720p screen resolution
- Cameras merely average
- Not for heavy gaming
- eMMC storage technology
- Plastic build materials

The Xiaomi Poco C85 is an entry-level Android 15 smartphone positioned for first-time and budget-conscious buyers. It features a 6.9‑inch IPS LCD with 120 Hz refresh rate, powered by a MediaTek Helio G81 Ultra chipset and Mali‑G52 GPU, paired with 6 GB or 8 GB RAM and up to 256 GB eMMC storage plus microSD expansion. A 6000 mAh battery, reverse charging, and efficient SoC deliver standout battery life and reliable everyday performance. Reviewers praise its big display, long runtime, practical feature set (including NFC, fingerprint reader, and IP64 protection) and solid value when priced aggressively. However, the 720 × 1600 resolution, plastic build, and only adequate camera quality limit its appeal for users seeking a sharper, more premium experience. Overall ratings around 70–78% describe it as a sensible, well-equipped budget phone, but one that is vulnerable to strong competition if pricing is not attractive.

78% Poco C85 5G Review: I Didn’t Think ₹12K Could Buy This Much Power!
Source: Exhibit.tech English
After using the Poco C85 5G extensively here is how I see it. If you want a phone with excellent battery life, a big display, stable everyday performance, decent cameras for social media and practical features like reverse charging this phone fits perfectly. But if you want a sharp Full HD Plus display, premium build, higher class gaming performance or a more versatile camera then you may want to consider alternatives in the same price range. If Poco prices it aggressively this becomes a highly sensible choice for budget buyers and students. If they get the pricing wrong, competition from Realme and Redmi will quickly overshadow it.

70% Poco C85 5G review: Big screen and long battery life on a budget
Source: India Today English
The Poco C85 5G is built to a cost. It is meant for first-time phone buyers or those who are on a tight budget. For the price, you do get what you need for day-to-day use - a large screen, long battery life, and a processor good enough for normal usage. But there are some downsides - the cameras are okay, and the screen is only 720p.
