Verdict — More Versatile For Roughly The Same Price
For most users, any differences between the AMD and Intel versions of the Dell Pro 7 14 are relatively minor. Both are powerful systems for the size with vPro/PRO security, great battery life, nearly identical display options and prices, and the same typing experience. For the small subset of users where minute details might matter, however, the Intel versions will have the slight edge.
When compared to the AMD configurations, the Intel version offers slightly faster graphics performance, PCIe5 SSD support, even longer battery life, and improved docking capabilities with Thunderbolt 4. These advantages make the Intel options more versatile when it comes to traveling and docking particularly for users who are constantly on-the-move between multiple desks, external monitors, or eGPU setups.
Raw processor performance is slightly slower with the Intel chip, but the gains elsewhere as mentioned above may make the tradeoff worthwhile for specific usage scenarios.
For future revisions, we'd love to see more 1600p display options with OLED or touchscreen as such niceties are currently limited to 1200p. A lighter overall weight may also help since certain competitors like the Asus ExpertBook Ultra or Lenovo ThinkPad T14s each come in a few hundred grams lighter.

Price and Availability
Dell is now shipping the Pro 7 14 starting at $2200 for the base configuration up to over $5000 as configured for this review.
The Dell Pro 7 14 P714260 is the Intel version of the AMD-based Dell Pro 7 14 P714265. Both versions otherwise share the same hardware design and so we recommend checking out our review on the AMD version to learn more about the physical features.
Our test unit is a higher-end configuration with Panther Lake Core Ultra 7 366H vPro, 64 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, and 1200p 120 Hz IPS display for approximately $4900. Lesser SKUs start at just over $2000.
Alternatives in this space include other 14-inch business-oriented subnotebooks like the HP EliteBook X series, Lenovo ThinkPad T14s, or the Asus ExpertBook series.
