However, at the price of Rs 16,499, the phone misses out on a crisp Super AMOLED display, 90 Hz refresh-rate, camera features like 60fps video, and slow motion. Also, the competition is far better in terms of overall performance, you can opt phones with Snapdragon 720G, Snapdragon 730G, and better GPU in this segment if this is your budget.

However, if you live in a market where Samsung has either the Galaxy M21 or Galaxy M31 on sale, then the A21s is a phone you should completely ignore. Save some money and go for either of the M series phones, or maybe even take a look at the Galaxy A31 (read our review here) if it’s available in your country. All those phones are much, much better for just a little extra money and make the Galaxy A21s seem like an unnecessary phone.

The Samsung Galaxy A21 is an entry-level smartphone with an affordable price. Although the Galaxy A21 has a seemingly decent design, it is the most entry-level phone in the A-series. The back cover is made of a 3D glass material with a curved body to provide a comfortable grip. The Galaxy A21 retains a slim frame, but the back cover looks like plastic. As for colour options, the Samsung Galaxy A21 smartphone is available in black. It is equipped with a 6.5-inch 20:9 ratio Super AMOLED capacitive screen. AMOLED panels are widely used in Samsung smartphones for their high-quality colour reproduction ability and very deep black hues. The resolution of the screen is 720x1600 pixels with a pixel density of 270 ppi. The display adopted the Infinity-O extreme full-screen design. It has to be mentioned, though, this display simply does not do enough to be a proper AMOLED display. Brightness is not too good when the display is in direct sunlight, and the display itself can lean more towards being over-saturated. Despite this, it is a good enough display in this price range and certainly better than most LCD displays out there. The front lens opening is set in the upper left corner of the screen to improve the overall visual ratio and provide an immersive entertainment experience.
Although it is not a high-end flagship, the Samsung Galaxy A21 is equipped with 4 lenses. The rear camera of the smartphone consists of a 13 MP (wide) + 5 MP (ultra-wide) + 2 MP (macro) + 2 MP (depth) lens, while on the front there is an 8 MP (wide) camera for shooting selfies. As for performance, it uses a Mediatek Helio P35 MT6765 chipset, 3 GB of memory and 32 GB of internal storage. There is also a 64 GB internal storage option which can be expanded with a single microSDXC dedicated slot. The Samsung Galaxy A21 smartphone runs on Android 10.0 and the One UI 2.0 operating system. It has a built-in 4,000mAh battery and supports 15W lightning-fast charging. In addition, the back of this phone is designed with a fingerprint identification unlocking module, so users can easily unlock the phone and effectively protect their privacy. For connectivity, it also features Bluetooth 5.0, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, USB 2.0, a Type-C 1.0 reversible connector, USB On-The-Go, a loudspeaker and a 3.5mm jack. In conclusion, the Samsung Galaxy A21 is a budget smartphone with entry-level performance. It might be the A21, but it actually replaces the A30 from last year and does a rather good job.
