The M13 5G is a pretty average phone that is competing in a very crowded segment, and faces some pretty solid competition. The Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is among the cheapest 5G smartphones in India, among the likes of the Poco M4 5G and M4 Pro 5G, the Motorola Moto G51 5G, all of whom are slightly more expensive than the M13 5G’s price tag of Rs 13,999. Despite using an SoC that is almost a year old, the device manages to hold its own. And given the Galaxy M13 5G’s price, battery life, 90Hz display and the fact that it does really well on 5G, it is really difficult to fault the device for the omissions that Samsung chose. Having said that, Samsung could have done better with the display. All in all, if you are in the market looking for a 5G smartphone at the cheapest possible price, that will actually function and last you more than a year, then the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is the safest way to go.

It is quite clear what Samsung is trying to do here. With 5G services just around the corner, the company is offering a 5G-ready device to budget buyers and how. At Rs 13,999, the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G is among the cheapest 5G smartphones in India. What’s more, the handset comes with a serviceable 90Hz display, clean UI, and a MediaTek chipset, which despite being a year old, manages to hold its ground. The phone could have done better with an FHD+ screen and an ultra-wide sensor, which have become quite common in the segment. However, if you are in the market looking for a 5G device at a budget price, the Samsung Galaxy M13 5G will undoubtedly appeal to you.

Model:
Samsung Galaxy M13 is an entry level smartphone equipped with a large power of 5,000mAh and a large 6.6-inch screen. The Galaxy M13, like most entry-level models, does not support functions such as waterproof and dustproof, wireless charging, etc. However, the mobile phone supports NFC, so if users really need mobile payment, they can still download Google Pay and use it. The back cover of the fuselage is made of plastic material and has a light hairline to create a good metal texture. The colors launched this time are more colorful than before, and the appearance is much younger. The aluminum frame is integrated with the back cover. There is only one radio microphone at the top and no LED indicator light; the other microphone is at the bottom. In addition, there is a 3.5mm headphone jack at the bottom. With a 6.6-inch screen and a 5,000mAh battery capacity, the body weight is controlled at about 192g. Although it is not as light as the Galaxy M53 5G , it is not too burdensome to carry around. The rounded design of the surrounding frame also adds to the overall grip.
The 6.6-inch V-Ultimate flat screen supports a maximum screen resolution of 2,408 x 1,080@60fps (FHD+). It is also made of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 glass. The screen-to-body ratio is around 82.5%. The upper lens and the lower frame are still slightly thicker, and the Always On Display display is not supported. The screen has a basic refresh rate of 60Hz, but it is quite sufficient for daily watching YouTube videos or general browsing. The Galaxy M13 uses Samsung's eight-nanometer Exynos 850 octa-core processor, and has 4GB LPDDR4X + 64GB eMMC. Samsung also introduced the RAM Plus function in most entry-level M series to provide an expandable virtual memory of maximum 4GB. The operating system used is One UI 4.1 based on Android 12, which is also Samsung's latest mainstream interface. For the charging part, the Galaxy M13 supports up to 15W lightning fast charging, but does not support wireless charging.
The rear lenses of the Galaxy M13 are 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens (f/2.2, 123°), 50MP wide-angle main lens (f/1.8, PDAF) and 2MP depth-of-field lens (f/2.4), whereas the front Lens is a 8MP selfie front lens (f/2.2). The rear lens adopts auto focus, and does not support scene intelligence, dynamic photos and my filter functions; however, basic functions such as custom watermarks, automatic HDR, filters, and skin beauty are provided. User can also turn on the " High " from the camera settings. " Efficient Image " to shoot HEIF and HEVC files to save space. Rear lens video recording, can shoot up to FHD@30 video, and can also adjust the focal length of 0.5x – 10x. As for connectivity, although it only has 4G communication specifications, it supports dual-band Wi-Fi. Galaxy M13 does not support 5G and 4×4 MIMO, but supports 4G FDD LTE and 4G TDD LTE, VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 5 (2.4 + 5GHz), Wi-Fi Direct and NFC functions. Almost all Samsung mobile phones provide two sets of facial recognition, and the Galaxy M13 is no exception. As a conclusion, the Galaxy M13 lacks a bunch of functions that mid-range phones and flagship phones have, but it is relatively simple to use. It is suitable as a smartphone for users who only have basic needs, such as younger kids or elderly.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

67.16%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
