Mele PCG02: Fanless PC stick with Ethernet and a 10 W CPU is now orderable
The Mele PCG02 is rather large by PC stick standards, but it should still be compact enough to fit behind a TV or an external monitor. The PCG02 measures 140 x 59 x 19 mm, but it does feature a good selection of I/O, including the HDMI 2.0 port that connects the device to a display. Mele has incorporated two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a micro USB port for charging, a micro SD card reader, a Kensington lock slot and a Gigabit Ethernet port. Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi 5 connectivity is on board too, as is a headphone jack.
The PCG02 weighs 137.2 g, which makes it rather heavy too. Its aluminium chassis is the main source of its weight though, as is its aluminium heatsinks. Mele claims that these are modular, although it is unclear whether the company sells any replacement heatsinks should you need them.
At the heart of the PCG02 is an Intel Celeron J4105 processor, which integrates an Intel UHD Graphics 600 GPU. The Celeron J4105 is a quad-core processor based on Intel's Gemini Lake architecture. The 14 nm CPU has a 10 W TDP and can clock up to 2.5 GHz. It does not support Intel Hyper-Threading, though. Mele has complemented this chip with 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64 GB of eMMC flash storage. The device's micro SD card reader supports up to 256 GB cards, should you need more storage.
The Mele PCG02 is available to order from AliExpress for US$214.99. The machine comes pre-loaded with Windows 10 Pro.
