Reviews for the Sony Xperia 10 II

70% Sony Xperia 10 II review
Source: Techradar English
The Sony Xperia 10 II offers a great media-viewing experience for around £319 / $399, courtesy of its super-wide OLED display. It doesn’t excel in any other regard, and you can get faster phones with better cameras for the money. But it’s an all-round solid option with few glaring compromises.

The Xperia 10 II is one of the more interesting devices to come out of 2020 so far. It's both weird and oddly encouraging that it can co-exist on the same constantly-changing market as the new wave of foldable display handsets. There's nothing better for the consumer than to be spoilt for choice. Even if the onslaught of new offers can get a bit overwhelming.

If you want a phone that looks like a flagship but doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, you’ll love the Sony Xperia 10 II. The Omnibalance design is back and there are no notches or cutouts in the gorgeous 6-inch OLED screen of this device. With its decent triple camera system on the back, the Xperia 10 II stands tall, in every possible meaning (metaphorically and literally), and shows what a mid-ranger phone should be.

Sony Xperia 10 II delivers impressive viewing and capturing in a worry-free and sleek design. It is worry-free because it is boasting IP65/68 rating water resistance, durable Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and long battery life. For design, it is eye-catching and easy to use. The Xperia 10 II feels as good as it looks blending premium quality materials with clean and elegant lines. As for colour selections, the Xperia 10 II is available in various choices of colours which are Mint, Black, Blue and White. The Sony Xperia 10 II features a cinematic 21:9 Wide 6” OLED display makes viewing content a pleasure. Sony has put on their world-renowned TV expertise to tune and create this special OLED display feature on the Xperia 10 II. The result is a great display with incredibly rich, natural colours and deeper blacks. Additionally, the Sony Xperia 10 II has a multi-window feature which offers new ways to use the smartphone. The multi-window option on the 21:9 Wide display let users easily split the screen into two separate windows and run different apps on each one. It’s perfect for multitasking. For example, they can view maps on one window while messaging on the other.

The Xperia 10 II doesn’t stop users from comfortably operating it with one hand although it has a large display. The mini display feature places everything within simple reach. Side sense offers an easy way to launch the multi-window function and gives the user quick access to all their apps. As for the camera, the Xperia 10 II triple-lens camera makes it fun and easy to capture beautiful images every time. The ultrawide camera has a 16mm focal length and an 8MP sensor. The telephoto lens has a 52mm focal length and 8MP. Then there’s the main camera, a 12MP wide-angle lens with a 26mm focal length. It gives the creative flexibility to capture beautiful images in a range of scenarios and conditions. The Xperia 10 II could recognise different shooting scenarios and adjust camera settings accordingly thanks to Sony’s photographic expertise with artificial intelligence. Under the hood, the Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 665 Mobile Platform4 is capable of handling all the apps, movies, games and more with ease. It has 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage too. As for power, the Xperia 10 II is compatible with the optional Fast Charger UCH32C. Users can quickly top-up their smartphone when it is running low on power. In conclusion, the Xperia 10 II is a great smartphone which has an outstanding design and good performance. The display and camera are definitely distinctive and stand out among competitors. The mid-range price tag also makes it more affordable for budget-conscious users.

This display is quite big for a smartphone but frequently used for smartphones.

Large display-sizes allow higher resolutions. So, details like letters are bigger. On the other hand, the power consumption is lower with small screen diagonals and the devices are smaller, more lightweight and cheaper.

Only few smartphones are more lightweight than this.
