Reviews for the Nokia 3.4
Nokia's 3.4 wants to stir up the lower mid-range with a brand-new interior and triple camera. Strong competitors face the Chinese-Finnish phone, but the smartphone can actually convince in some points.

Unfortunately, I don’t recommend the Nokia 3.4 – for one reason. Its day-to-day performance is poor, and this rapidly becomes a headache, one that will likely make you wish you’d spent slightly more.

The Nokia 3.4 is a good phone for productivity thanks to its clean and straightforward UI (it runs pure Android 10 and is Android 11-ready), decent processor, and impressive battery life. However, if mobile photography is important to you, you might want to look elsewhere. When it was launched, it was priced at P7,990. In February however, it got a price cut and now retails for P6,990, which is a better price point for the features the phone offers.

But, at the price of RM599 – the Nokia 3.4 is not a bad phone, honestly. But only if you can buy it, honestly. Currently, the phone is not available for sale on Lazada or Shopee but it’s only available on RedOne via a contract.

Overall, the handset finds its strength in its build quality and software. If you are looking to buy a low-cost smartphone that comes with a promise of regular software updates, then the Nokia 3.4 may appear to be a perfectly good option to consider.

The Nokia 3.4 is a well-built smartphone that promises guaranteed Android updates. This will appeal to an Android purist who looks forward to running the latest software without spending significantly on a new smartphone. However, there is nothing about the Nokia 3.4 that stands out other than this promise. The competition offers bigger batteries, faster charging, better displays, and better camera quality.

Now let’s talk about the price. The Nokia 3.4 is priced at PHP 7,990, and honestly, we think it’s a good phone but too steep for its league. We still stand by our word that there are better-specced smartphones at this price range, but hey, it’s Nokia. You get an excellent battery life on this phone and a widescreen real estate, and not to mention, it’s pure Android! So if those are just some of the aspects you look for in a phone, then the Nokia 3.4 is one good choice.

Nokia 3.4 offers long-term user support just like other Nokia smartphones, and as a consumer, this will be the main reason why I will buy the product. For P7,990 (4GB+64GB), it is a worthy device. As a daily driver it gave us an easy and convenient user experience because of its navigation features. It also has a pretty good build like the cutout, the Type-C charging port, and also the gyroscope which is perfect for VR and games. This is a budget-friendly smartphone that offers a future proof user experience with good and acceptable performance and better camera quality versus its price.

The Nokia 3.4 comes with one major selling point, and that's its low, low price. You'll struggle to find a smartphone available for much cheaper than this, but if you're going to limit your budget to this level, make sure you know what you're getting in return.

The Nokia 3.4 is a cheap phone with a battery that should last two days for many, along with clean software and the promise of updates. But limited RAM makes it run slower than we’d like, and as such it's hard to fully recommend even at its low price.

Nokia has the right motives with the 3.4, in that those looking for a budget phone shouldn’t have to settle for poor specs. The cameras on this handset are capable of some truly excellent results, the display is a decent panel at this price, and the Android One platform makes it a nice user experience all round.

Model:
The new Nokia 3.4 has entered the market to offer some solid specs and functionality at a very affordable price. Just like with the previous generations of these phones, users will be getting low-end specs along with a rather cheap price. It is undeniable that the Nokia 3 series has always consisted of classy-looking budget devices, ever since the original Nokia 3 that reminded everyone of the iconic Lumia 925 in terms of the design. Having said that, the new Nokia 3.4 comes in beautiful colours, with a nice-looking body with a metal frame and a punch-hole display that makes the frontside of the device much more attractive.
In terms of its processor and overall performance, the Nokia 3.4 has been equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset. This processor integrates the Adreno 610 GPU and features an X11 LTE modem supporting Cat 13 uplink and Cat 12 downlink. While this is not the best processor out there, it is definitely understandable in its price range.
As far as the display is concerned, the Nokia 3.4 carries a 6.39-inch HD+ display. The official data sheet also mentions the brightness info, which turns out to be a mainly typical brightness of 400 nits. In terms of its battery, the phone has been packed with a 4,000mAh battery, which should be enough, considering the efficient 11nm SoC and HD+ screen. It should also be noted that the phone supports 10W charging using the USB Type-C port that can be found on the bottom of the smartphone.
Apart from that, the smartphone has a triple camera array on the back. The array includes a 13MP shooter, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, as well as a 2MP depth sensor. Below the camera ring are the fingerprint sensor and the vertical Nokia logo. Aside from allowing unlocking via fingerprint, the Nokia 3.4 also supports “biometric face unlock” and has a Google Assistant button. This smartphone comes with Android 10 software as a standard.
In addition, there are three variants available: one with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage, one with 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and a top model with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage space. In terms of its colour variations, the Nokia 3.4 has been released in three colours, namely Fjord, which has shades of blue, Dusk, which has shades of purple, and, last but not least, Charcoal, which carries shades of black. Overall, the Nokia 3.4 is an affordable phone definitely worth exploring in this price range. However, the choice of owning one depends on the user’s needs and preferences.

6.39":
It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

The company is known for its telecommunications equipment and cell phones. Nokia was one of the leading manufacturers of cell phones in the 1990s and has expanded its business into networking and technology solutions in recent years.
In 2011, Nokia partnered with Microsoft on Windows-based cell phones and sold the entire cell phone division to Microsoft in 2014, which limited the Nokia brand name to basic cell phones. In 2016, Finnish electronics manufacturer HMD Global entered into a licensing agreement with Nokia, bought the remaining Nokia name rights from Microsoft Mobile, and since 2017 has exclusively offered Nokia cell phones worldwide, which are based on Android, among other things, and are produced by Foxconn.
66.17%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
