Reviews for the Vivo Y29 4G

The Vivo Y29 doesn’t aim to compete with flagship devices. Instead, it focuses on getting the essentials right, and in that regard, it does a commendable job. It brings together a responsive 120 Hz display, excellent battery life, dependable everyday performance, and a fairly polished software experience. All of this comes wrapped in a sturdy design that feels more premium than the price tag would suggest. There are some trade-offs, like the absence of 5G, a basic audio setup, and limited camera versatility in low light. However, these compromises are understandable given the phone’s target price point. The real value proposition comes when you look at the official pricing. The Vivo Y29 starts at PHP 8,999 for the 128GB variant, while the higher 256GB model is available for PHP 10,999.

Overall, the vivo Y29 manages to deliver an enjoyable gaming experience when it comes to competitive titles. So if you’re into Mobile Legends, Wild Rift, or even Call of Duty: Mobile, the vivo Y29 will be able to handle those games. However, for users like me who love playing ARPGs, this is not the best device for that activity since it outputs tons of frame drops and stutters. All in all, for the price of PHP10,999, the vivo Y29 is a decent device for entry-level gaming.
