Reviews for the Xiaomi Redmi 15 4G
As expected for a device in this class, the Xiaomi Redmi 15 4G does without 5G connectivity. Even so, the overall package remains convincing. Alongside 256 GB of storage and a 6.9-inch IPS display with a 144 Hz refresh rate as its standout feature, the budget smartphone is equipped with a massive 7,000 mAh silicon-carbon battery. As a result, the Redmi 15 emerges as a battery life leader in the budget segment.

The Xiaomi Redmi 15 was announced and released on August 1, 2025, and it comes in both 5G and 4G variants, targeting users who want a big screen, strong battery life, and modern software at a budget price. Both models feature a large body with an IP64 rating, meaning they are protected against dust and light water splashes. The 5G variant measures 169.5 × 80.5 × 8.4 mm and weighs 217 g, while the 4G version is slightly bigger and heavier at 171.1 × 82.1 × 8.6 mm and 224 g. The 5G model uses Gorilla Glass 3 on the front for extra protection, while both phones come with a plastic frame and back. Color options include Midnight Black and Titan Gray, with Ripple Green exclusive to the 5G model and Sandy Purple available on the 4G version.

At RM599 MSRP, the Redmi 15 4G isn’t the best option when you put it next to the 5G model, which has the same hardware inside bar the more powerful Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset (and of course, 5G support). As with budget segment smartphones, keep your expectations reasonable, but if all you need is solid battery life and everything else just need to be serviceable, then perhaps this can be a choice – although the 5G version at a small premium is perhaps the better option, still.

Qualcomm Adreno 610: Integrated (in the Snapdragon 665) graphics card based on the Adreno 600 architecture. The performance of the GPU is between the Adreno 510 and 512/612 and therefore in the lower mid range. Supports DirectX11_1, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.2.
Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

SD 685: Fast mid-range ARM SoC with 8 CPU Kryo 265 cores (four fast 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A73 based cores in a cluster and four power saving ARM Cortex-A53 based cores at 1.9 GHz) and a rather slow Adreno 610 GPU. Manufactured in 6 nm and according to Qualcomm around 15% more CPU performance and 10% more GPU performance compared to the old SD680 (thanks to higher clock speeds).» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
