Europe only ever gets phones with smaller batteries? Xiaomi shows that doesn't have to be the case, since the Redmi 15 5G comes with a powerful 7,000 mAh battery. Our review reveals what this means for the battery life and what else this relatively affordable phone has to offer.
Source: GSM Arena

The new Redmi 15 5G is an improvement over its predecessor in a handful of important ways. The massive battery is a huge step forward and will likely provide class-leading battery life. The ability to charge other devices with it, that too at a reasonable speed, cannot be understated. The phone also has a fresh new design, with a bigger and brighter display, which should appeal to those watching content on the go. However, the phone leaves room for improvement in other aspects. CPU performance hasn't improved, not just over the Redmi 13 5G but also the Redmi 12 5G from two years ago, and the GPU performance improvement is still not enough to make the phone viable for gaming. The camera feels like a step back in some ways over the predecessor when it comes to stills, and the videos are still unusable due to a lack of stabilization.

The Xiaomi Redmi 15 is a great budget smartphone at ₹14,999, featuring a 7,000mAh battery, 6.9-inch 144Hz display, and Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 processor. Its sturdy design includes a thick chin, which might deter some users. While the camera performs decently for casual photography, it struggles in low light. Compared to rivals like the Vivo T4x, the Redmi 15 offers better battery life and display size but is slightly behind in performance. With features like IP64 resistance and expandable storage, it’s an excellent choice for those seeking a dependable, budget-friendly device.

The Redmi 15 is one of the best options out there for those looking for a do-it-all phone on a budget of about Rs 15,000. Yes, we would have liked an AMOLED display, a 3.5 mm audio jack, and a few more megapixels on the other cameras, but we think that the massive battery and display do compensate for them. In many ways, the Redmi 15 is a classic Redmi mid-segmenter, with some distinctly Note-able genes of the Redmi Note kind. It just does everything pretty well, and thanks to that big battery, does so for a long time. It does well enough to have been a Note. Higher praise than that we cannot give in the mid-segment. At Rs 14,999, the Redmi 15 faces stiff competition, but stands tall (a phone that big would!), thanks to its steady performance and a battery that not only keeps the phone running but can also charge other phones!

The Redmi 15 plays safe in all aspects and definitely has a few things to flex. The design is pretty impressive, an IP64 rating makes the deal more promising, but the bulky form factor is hard to ignore, at least for me, when you compare the device to he iQOO Z10x that manages almost a similar battery in a lighter frame. The display is bright and colour accuracy is good, but those thick bezels often come in the way of what could have been an immersive viewing experience. Performance-wise, the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 keeps things reliable for daily tasks and casual gaming, but benchmark numbers reveal it’s a step behind rivals in the same price bracket. The cameras shine in daylight with natural portraits, but low-light struggles keep them from being all-rounders.

For the first time, Xiaomi's entry-level Redmi 15C is available in a 5G version, bringing not just broader coverage but also faster peak transfer speeds. Our in-depth review explores what else has changed.

The Redmi 15C feels more like a modest update to last year’s Redmi 14C with a bigger battery, slimmer design, and faster charging speeds, but the changes in pricing makes it a better offering if you opt for at least the 6GB/128GB variant.

The Redmi 15C 4G offers a lot for very little money: A PWM-free 120 Hz screen, for example, and a large battery. While you will get your money's worth if you want a large screen, there are disadvantages to the inexpensive phone for the reader to be aware of.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.
Qualcomm Adreno 619: Integrated (in the Snapdragon 750G) graphics card based on the Adreno 600 architecture. The performance is a lot better than the old Adreno 612.
ARM Mali-G57 MP2: Integrated mid range graphics card with 2 clusters. Based on the Valhall architecture.
Qualcomm Adreno 610: Integrated (in the Snapdragon 665) graphics card based on the Adreno 600 architecture. The performance of the GPU is between the Adreno 510 and 512/612 and therefore in the lower mid range. Supports DirectX11_1, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.2.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
ARM Mali-G52 MP2: Integrated mid range graphics card with 2 clusters. ARM states that the G52 series is 30% faster and 15% more efficient compared to the G51 series on the same process node.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 6:
SD 6s Gen 3: Mid-range SoC with 8 Kryo 660 cores (two ARM Cortex-A78 based cores with up to 2.3 GHz and 6 ARM Cortex-A55 with up to 2 GHz) and an X51 5G modem. Similar to the older Snapdragon 695 but with higher clocked CPU cores.
Mediatek Dimensity 6000:
Dimensity 6300: The CPU offers a total of eight cores, which are divided into two clusters. One has two ARM Cortex-A76 performance cores with up to 2.4 GHz each, while the other has six ARM Cortex-A55 energy-saving cores with up to 2.0 GHz each. LPDDR4x RAM with 2,133 MHz can be used as RAM and UFS 2.2 is supported as internal memory. The Dimensity 6300 is very similar to the old Dimensity 6080.
Mediatek Mediatek Helio G:
Helio G81 Ultra: ARM based octa-core SoC with 2x big ARM Cortex-A75 cores at up to 2 GHz and 6x small and power efficient ARM Cortex-A55 cores at up to 1.8 GHz. Integrates a Cat-7 (DL) / Cat-13 (UL) LTE Modem (4G), ARM Mali-G72 MP3 GPU and a ARM Mali G52 MC2 with up to 950 MHz. Compared to the old Helio G80, the G81 offers support for 120Hz displays.
Qualcomm Snapdragon:
SD 685: Fast mid-range ARM SoC with 8 CPU Kryo 265 cores (four fast 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A73 based cores in a cluster and four power saving ARM Cortex-A53 based cores at 1.9 GHz) and a rather slow Adreno 610 GPU. Manufactured in 6 nm and according to Qualcomm around 15% more CPU performance and 10% more GPU performance compared to the old SD680 (thanks to higher clock speeds).

75.75%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
