Xiaomi 15T Pro
Pros
Cons
The Xiaomi 15T Pro is widely reviewed as a well-balanced sub-flagship, earning an aggregate score around 80%. It ships with the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset, 12 GB RAM, a 6.83-inch 144 Hz display and Leica-branded camera tuning including a notable 5x telephoto. Reviewers praise its sustained gaming performance and improved battery endurance, with stable frame rates even under thermal load. The phone’s display, charging speed and overall value-for-money are repeatedly highlighted as strengths. Main criticisms target the speaker quality and the software experience, which some find less refined than competitors. Overall, the 15T Pro is recommended for gamers and users seeking strong imaging and performance at its price point, though cost-conscious buyers should weigh software preferences and weight.

I went into the 15T Pro review expecting just another solid mid-range device, but it’s exceeded my expectations – especially when it comes to cameras. The main and telephoto cameras are both sharp, the main camera holds up well in low light, and Xiaomi/Leica’s color science is the star of the show. The ultrawide is the only weak spot in the system. Beyond cameras, it’s a premium-feeling phone with a sharp display, excellent performance, all-day battery, and ultra-fast charging, though the design might be a bit plain for some.

We truly don’t know how Xiaomi does it. It’s nothing short of a wonder that it consistently offers flagship-tier components and great value while keeping prices stable for three years and counting. Other smartphone brands would do well to take a leaf out of Xiaomi’s playbook, instead of alienating their fanbase with complicated choices and only offering the brand’s best at exorbitant prices.

Finally – do I recommend you to buy this phone? I’d say yes, especially if you’re gaming on it. The Xiaomi 15T Pro is tuned very well to handle the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ and does not have any major frame rate fluctuations when it reached the thermal limit, and still able to take a lot of great pictures and videos.

The 15T Pro offers strong performance, a bright and fluid display, capable cameras, and reliable battery life. Its size and weight may be challenging for smaller hands, but overall, it delivers a flagship-level experience at a lower price than most premium devices.

There’s a lot to like about the 15T Pro, and we’re happy that Xiaomi listened to us in making the 15T Pro a better budget flagship. Beyond a cleaner design, having less bloatware to deal with and having a class-leading 5x telephoto makes the 15T Pro a solid pick for 2025.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro keeps the Leica identity and the strong display while addressing its predecessor’s weak points. Battery life is much stronger, gaming endurance has improved, and the new chipset delivers flagship-level scores that significantly exceed that of its predecessor. Not everything has improved though. The speakers remain a weak link, and some may miss the more striking colorways that the 14T Pro has. But as a whole, the 15T Pro feels like a more balanced and dependable device than the 13T Pro. For users of the 15T Pro, this might not feel like a must-upgrade unless battery life and gaming performance are priorities. But for anyone like me who is coming from older hardware or looking for a flagship that blends Leica imaging, strong performance, and decent battery life, the Xiaomi 15T Pro is a great and refined choice.

Xiaomi has offered several big improvements over the 14T Pro while keeping the same price, which is a clear-cut recipe for success. The Xiaomi 15T Pro has better battery life, a larger, brighter display, a better telephoto camera and improved performance. Its collection of flagship-quality specs outshines anything else in this price range. Software is still a bit of a pain, and the likes of Google, Samsung and Honor have the edge on the support front, but these drawbacks are far from dealbreakers when the Xiaomi 15T Pro gets so much right elsewhere. If you baulk at the four-figure asking prices of modern flagship phones, I’d strongly suggest considering forgoing the usual suspects and picking up the bargain Xiaomi 15T Pro.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro performs just like a flagship, but it comes at a much more affordable price. There are some drawbacks, like the relatively weak ultrawide camera and the bloatware-filled OS, but for the most part, it’s premium through and through. The new 5x periscope telephoto is an excellent addition, and if you’re into video shooting, this is the only phone in its price range to offer 4K 120fps recording.

The Xiaomi 15T Pro is a good sub-flagship phone offering plenty of power with great performance. This is backed by good battery life with useful fast charging, an excellent display, and a comprehensive camera experience. With good value for money, these features have plenty of appeal, marred only by the software experience – which doesn't compare to the likes of Samsung, or the cleaner Google Pixel experience.
