For the main camera, Xiaomi utilizes proven technology for its latest top-of-the-range smartphone and installs the same sensor as the previous generation, the Xiaomi 14 Pro. The Light Hunter 900 was developed in collaboration with Leica and has a native resolution of 50 MP. These are usually combined in 4-to-1 binning to create 12.5 MP photos and super pixels.
The 1/1.31-inch sensor ensures beautiful detail, precise focus and very fast shooting speed in our test shots. However, compared to its predecessor, the variable aperture control has been omitted, similarly to the Xiaomi 15 Pro. Thanks to the large f/1.44 aperture and optical image stabilization, appealing shots are still possible.
A 50 MP camera with macro mode and a 35 mm-equivalent focal length of 14 mm is installed for ultra-wide-angle shots. Another 50 MP lens with OIS provides a five-fold optical zoom.
We used factory settings in the camera software for our photos. To make it easier to recognize image details, all image files are included with the corresponding photos. Click on the photos to view them in full resolution.
Even beyond the cameras, the Xiaomi 15S Pro is a fantastic smartphone. The new XRing O1, Xiaomi's proprietary mobile chipset, impresses with its high, flagship-level performance.
The Xiaomi 15S Pro also has an advanced battery that combines silicon and carbon and thus has a very high capacity. The 6,100 mAh battery keeps the 6.83-inch OLED screen alive for over 25 hours.
