Reviews for the Vivo Y20s
The Vivo Y20s is the Chinese manufacturer's first entry-level smartphone that is also available in Europe. It features a slim design, an up-to-date Snapdragon SoC, a lot of storage, and a strong battery and presents itself quite completely in the test.

For a budget-friendly device, the Vivo Y20s provides very good autonomy, beating not just its competitors in the Essential segment, but many other higher-bracket devices as well. Further, it is near the very top in our database thus far for nighttime idle power consumption, and its overall charging score is very good in its price segment. In short, the Vivo Y20s provides good performance at a low price point.

The vivo Y20s [G] has its pros up its sleeve, such as its impressive battery life, bright display, good for casual gaming, and a pretty good set of cameras. Its performance is what you would expect for an entry-level phone, and for sure, it will be priced as such. However, we still find the micro USB port and the 720p video playback resolution to be a bummer. If you can live with its limitations, then we can say that Vivo Y20s [G] is still a great phone for you.

The Vivo Y20s delivers big on battery, while simple software makes the most of some admittedly basic internal specs. Other budget phones offer fast chips and better displays, but the Y20s runs well and keeps on running.

Overall, it is a budget smartphone from a good-selling brand, Vivo, that packs a good set of specs and is totally alright for day-to-day use. If you are a gamer or a heavy user of a phone, then there are many other options available in the market with impressive battery, gaming chipsets, and decent GPU performance. If you are a brand lover and want a Vivo phone under 30k then go for it.

The Vivo Y20s is a dependable phone that runs pretty well considering its price. Though it’s slow at times, it was no worse than its same-price rivals, and excelled in terms of battery life. We particularly appreciate the design, as it has an easy-to-reach side fingerprint scanner and a sturdy plastic back that feels good to hold. The use of a micro USB slot could alienate some potential buyers, though, and there are no real stand-out features here.

The phone is beautiful, budget friendly, and easy to use. It’s not groundbreaking bleeding edge technology but it’s decent for the price. It has a good camera, but old tech in the microUSB option.

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.70.57%: This rating is poor. More than three quarters of the models are rated better. That is rather not a purchase recommendation. Even if verbal ratings in this area do not sound that bad ("sufficient" or "satisfactory"), they are usually euphemisms that disguise a classification as a below-average laptop.
