Reviews for the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11
For a price of less than 200 Euros (~$214), the Redmi Note 11 features a very interesting technical configuration. First of all, the very bright AMOLED panel including its 90 Hz refresh rate and excellent calibration is a unique selling point. Read on to find out where users will have to compromise with the Xiaomi phone.

Redmi Note 11 is a worthy replacement for last year's Redmi Note 10. The smartphone has a fashionable 'flat' design, more energy-efficient processor, 90 Hz AMOLED display. However, the chipset is still not the most powerful, although new, and with its limitations - no 5G, no 4K and 60 fps video recording. Cameras are not the best in low light shooting.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 comes with the same battery and the same charger as its predecessor, the Redmi Note 10, so we expected that its performance would be more or less similar. But a new chipset and higher screen refresh rate might have changed the game when it comes to battery performance. With 2.5 days of autonomy when used moderately, the Redmi Note 11’s performance was above average, compared to other devices in our database. But it didn’t match the nearly 3 days of autonomy of the Redmi Note 10. The weaker autonomy performance was a factor that brought down the Redmi Note 11’s overall score when compared with its predecessor. The Redmi Note 11’s charging score was also below average compared with other phones in the database. But when compared to other phones in the essential price segment, the Redmi Note 11’s charging ranked in the top 3, with an excellent charge and adapter efficiency.

So how about the price? In its cheaper variant, i.e. 4/64 GB, Redmi Note 11 costs only about 220 EUR. For this price, we get a good AMOLED screen, a neatly made housing, a nice interface and a long-lasting battery, as well as some interesting accessories such as a minijack, stereo speakers and an infrared transmitter, as well as a triple slot that can accommodate two SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time. The photo quality and performance will be decent, don't expect only miracles. In addition, you can also praise the manufacturer for adding a cover and a quick charger in the set. This is typical Redmi - much for little! There are some drawbacks, but in my opinion, the price compensates for them quite well, so when looking for a budget phone feel free to enter Redmi Note 11 on your shopping list.

The Redmi Note 11 is more than the sum of its parts. This phone may be an entry-level model, but it has big aspirations and has the basics covered handsomely. The hardware is perhaps a touch sample and yet the phone is well made, offers a gorgeous display, and delivers killer battery life. The Note 11 easily keeps up with the pack thanks to its good performance. While it may not be the generation leap some may have hoped for, Redmi has brought a very solid competitor to the entry-level market in the Note 11, one that will deservedly give other budget phones a run for their money throughout the year.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 is a solid buy as long as you don’t expect too much of the stuff tech is famed for: progress. Like the last-generation Note 10, its OLED screen is the highlight. This adds a sheen of quality to a phone that doesn’t have all that much of an impressive physical presence — which doesn’t matter too much if you will use a case anyway. Long battery life and stereo speakers add significantly to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 appeal, particularly if you won’t dig too deep into what Android can do. However, it’s disappointing that the phone is actually slightly less powerful than its predecessor, without having 5G mobile internet as a trade-off. The camera array is no better than the category average, general performance is fine but noticeably slower than phones Xiaomi sells for slightly over £200. And it struggles with demanding games. Not everyone will notice the performance drawbacks here. Have a think about whether you’re in that boat before buying, because it’s otherwise a very easygoing Android to own.

This has very much been a review of two halves: on the one hand, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11’s design and screen are truly top-notch and a great example of how you make a phone on a budget. But its performance is inconsistent in benchmarks and it offers underwhelming 3D gaming potential compared to its rivals. Its cameras are okay, but you can do better for the money. So, what should you get instead? Well, the obvious answer is to go Pro: the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G is only around £40 more, and is simply better in every way. If you really can’t spend a penny over £200, then my pick would be either Xiaomi’s own Poco X3 NFC or, if you really want 5G, then the Motorola Moto G50.

Things aren't looking too great in the camera department either. The Snapdragon 680 can only handle up to 1080p video capture, whereas the Redmi Note 10 happily does 4K. But even beyond that, the main camera performance is just adequate and not impressive. Some features like 50MP mode, night mode and HDR either have deficiencies in their performance, behavior or availability across cameras. The 8MP ultrawide is pretty disappointing as a whole. Adding everything up, it just seems that the cons outweigh the pros. Or, more accurately put - we just don't feel like the cons are easy to live with. A shame, really, since the Redmi Note 11 still manages to impress in some major ways. Bottom line, though, in its current state, we can't outright recommend you get one. There are much better and more well-rounded smartphones out there to consider instead.

The Note 11 is a great example of something that looks great on paper, but isn’t quite so impressive once you start using it. Sure, Redmi has packed in plenty of hardware for the price, but the combo of budget-leaning CPU and overbearing software make for constant reminders you’ve bought an entry-grade phone. And ultimately, it doesn’t massively move the game on from last year’s Redmi Note 10. Its bigger brothers don’t cost a whole lot more, but gain extra goodies like 120Hz refresh rate, even faster charging and a beefier CPU. The addition of 5G support should help those handsets stay relevant for longer, too. Anyone on a truly tight budget that needs a new phone ASAP could make a case for the Note 11, but if you can save a little more cash, there are plenty of snappier rivals to choose from.

The Redmi Note 11, like any budget phone, is a compromise: the design, build quality, screen and battery life are great, but the rear camera quality and the overall performance are where you'll notice the savings on the price of the handset have been made.

When it comes to budget smartphones, Redmi is one of those unmatched brands that consistently delivers good specs for consumers on a budget. Xiaomi’s newest skin, MIUI 13, was just released alongside the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Series. On paper, this budget phone appears to be a clear winner in its price segment. It has a 90Hz AMOLED display, supports 33W fast charging, has a long battery life, and even has decent cameras. Overall, it’s a good phone, but it’s not the only one available for less than Rs 15,000 in India. Of course, the company has made some compromises; the processor isn’t particularly powerful, so if you’re looking for a gaming smartphone, you’ll want to look at other options. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 has a starting price of Rs 13,499. Are the price and hype still justified? Let’s take a look at our review to find out the answers.

It’s difficult to flag a phone on too many weak points when it’s being sold at a dirt-cheap price. Sure, the Redmi Note 11’s Snapdragon 680 is sluggish, it doesn’t come with 5G capabilities, and it’s design isn’t anything to brag about. But for £199 it goes above and beyond with a 90Hz AMOLED display, dual speakers (with the added bonus of an audio jack), fantastic battery life and snappy security features like its fingerprint sensor. The Redmi Note 11 is an exemplary budget smartphone for those that don’t require flagship features, but it still dishes a handful of them out anyway. The display is fantastic for watching shows, the processor can still handle average tasks and acceptable gameplay, and battery life won’t disappoint. The cameras won’t provide the crisp details many smartphone enthusiasts are after, but they can still shoot a commendable shot. Whether you’re in need of a backup smartphone or can’t be fussed to spend north of £700 for a flagship device you’ll barely get the most out of, then the Redmi Note 11 is a fantastic pick.

The Redmi Note is priced at Rs 13,499 for 4GB / 64GB variant, Rs 14,499 for 6GB / 64GB and Rs 15,999 for 6GB / 128GB option. With its spec sheet, the Redmi Note 11 might not seem like as easy a choice at those prices as some of its predecessors, but the phone is still good value for money. It does miss out on Android 12, 5G and does not have super powerful gaming muscle, but the phone still delivers a well-rounded smartphone experience. It handles the basics like display, battery, sound and day to day tasks superbly, without ever making you feel like you are missing out on much. It is surrounded by a lot of competition, though, with the likes of Redmi Note 10S lurking in the vicinity at Rs 14,999. That might sound like an old device but comes with a faster, more powerful processor (the MediaTek Helio G95) which might be tempting to those who love gaming. Another option for the game-loving crowd is the Realme 8i which has a MediaTek Helio G96 chip and has a 120Hz refresh rate display (albeit an LCD one) and is available at around Rs 13,500.

And that brings us to the end of this review. Truth be told—the Redmi Note 11 has somewhat grown on me. As someone whose primary use-case consists of web browsing and content consumption, I am really impressed by what it offers for the price in terms of display, audio, and battery life. However, it clearly is not for someone who values raw performance over everything else. Its downgraded performance means the older Note 10 still has an edge over the new Note 11 when it comes to gaming. And it gets more tricky since it is comparatively more expensive. Moreover, the Note 11 is also strictly average when it comes to photography—but that isn’t anything new for a budget Redmi phone.

The Redmi Note 11 delivers well on some parameters. The display and performance are strong points of this device, considering the price. The camera is acceptable too, though nothing that will set it apart in this particular category. The 5000 mAh battery is what users have come to expect now on their devices, though it is good to see Redmi continue with 33W fast charging. Other phones in the price range have 18W charging in the box. One aspect missing here is 5G connectivity, which some phones such as the Vivo T1 are offering at a similar price range. Given more and more rivals are offering 5G support across more of their product range, I do feel this might be perceived as a miss. Still, this is not what I would call a deal-breaker, considering that the technology is yet to roll out. The Redmi Note 11 starts at Rs 13,499 for 4GB RAM+64GB, while the 6GB RAM+64GB comes at a price of Rs 14,499. The version I have for review costs Rs 15,999. But what also does not help is that the Redmi Note 11S, which has a better camera and processor on paper, starts at Rs 16,499.

The Xiaomi Redmi 11 offers a compelling combination of specifications for under £200. There aren’t many cheap phones that give you a 90Hz AMOLED display for such a price. It also has a design that, while hardly eye-catching, doesn’t feel remotely tacky. That’s far from a given at this end of the market. Also noteworthy is the Redmi Note 11’s level of stamina, which will get most people through two days of usage on a single charge. Redmi impresses by throwing in a speedy 33W charger, too. Performance and camera quality are merely adequate, which is where scaling up to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G might be worth considering. But if you’re on a strict budget, this is a phone with few glaring weaknesses.

With the Redmi Note 11, Xiaomi repeats its winning formula of segment leading specifications packed into a phone that does not strain the wallet. The phone has got a very nice display that’s smoother to interact with, great battery life, a fuss-free software (can’t believe we say this for a Redmi device), and decent cameras that should keep social media addicts happy. That said, it is not flawless like some of its ancestors. The build quality has room for improvement, especially when Micromax and Realme are pushing boundaries for looks and feel in this price segment. The same can be said for the cameras, since the similarly priced Moto G51 and Realme 9i could outdo its performance at times. And, Xiaomi, like everyone here, is still pushing an older Android version under their 2022 Android skins. On the whole, the Redmi Note 11 carries forward the crown of our favourite all-rounder from its predecessor. For less that Rs. 15,000, it is hard to recommend anything else that is just right for everyone at this price; unless your demands are specific.

Finally – the ultimate question is – should you buy the Redmi Note 11 or the Redmi Note 11S? Between these two phones, I can’t really pick for you. They both have their own strengths but they’re not significant enough to differentiate themselves from each other. I generally think both the phones have increased in terms of price – particularly the Reedmi Note 11S. When we compare with the last generation’s Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10S, the differences are apparent. Personally, I’ll wait for the Redmi Note 11 Pro and also the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G before making any decisions. Though from what I can see, the specs of these two Pro variants are very similar to the Redmi Note 11S.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 is a good phone as we found out in our review for it in the Philippines, thanks to its beautiful display and good cameras but there are caveats. Budget gamers looking for a high-performance phone at the price point may not like the compromises to graphical fidelity we had to make with the Redmi Note 11’s processor for more graphically intense titles, but that might be a small complaint in a phone that’s brimming with value.

With the price tag of Rs. 13,499 for 4 GB/ 64 GB version, Rs. 14,499 for 6 GB/ 64 GB variant and Rs. 15,999, the Redmi Note 11 does not seem as value for money as some of its predecessors used to. The phone does not bring path-breaking upgrades over its predecessor. While there is plenty of competition hovering around, the biggest one would still be the Redmi Note 10 as it is likely to be offered at a reduced price now that a new variant is launched.

But it is not really the kind of killer proposition its predecessors used to be. Some might feel that given the absence of 5G, even its predecessor, the Redmi Note 10 could be a good option. Those who love gaming and still want a Note could feel tempted by the still-impressive Redmi Note 10S, which starts at Rs 14,999 but brings a faster processor to the table. The recently launched Vivo T1 would also float into contention – it starts at Rs 15,999, but has a newer processor, Android 12 and 5G, on board. All of which makes the Redmi Note 11 the first REAL Note in the Note 11 series in terms of specs and performance. It ticks pretty much most of the conventional Note boxes but somewhat unusually does not totally keep the opposition at bay.

Decent is the right word to describe the Redmi Note 11 as it doesn’t have flashy features. But maybe that’s more than enough for most users, especially given its low price tag. The Redmi Note 11 4GB + 64GB is priced at PHP 9,499, while the 6GB + 128GB is priced at PHP 9,999. It has nice specs, adequate performance, excellent display, and attractive design. However, maybe decent isn’t enough, especially for those who need extra power for gaming and multitasking, and if you do, you might want to look somewhere else and get ready to spend a little more.

While the Note 11 includes significant updates to the display, the camera, performance, design, and most everything else is basically the same, meaning Redmi missed an opportunity to evolve its low-cost phone. If you’re looking for a bigger screen and even faster speeds you can look at the Note 11 Pro, though European pricing has yet to be confirmed at the time of writing. Prefer another make?

Overall we're left somewhat perplexed by the Redmi Note 11. Its specification is super for its anticipated affordable price point, which sets it off on a strong start. However, in use the experience doesn't match the expectation. Sure, having a decent AMOLED screen is nice, as is the decent battery life, but when running into occasional lagging, blackout and sometimes crashing issues all of that is only so much use. Although we're yet to test it out, we'd spend the little extra on the handset's bigger brother, the Redmi Note 11 Pro, or if your budget is a little tighter then Motorola's G31 does much of the same but based around a more stable software platform (you'll just have to forego the 90Hz refresh rate).

If you ask me if the Redmi Note 11 smartphone is worth buying or you can recommend, my answer is definitely yes. Given that it is a budget smartphone with a stylish design and good processor, abundant memory of 128GB, 6GB RAM, connectivity standards, an AMOLED FHD+ screen, and 50MP AI quad rear camera, you get a powerful performance at a low price, so if you are looking for a low-cost phone at this time, you will not get anything better than Redmi Note 11 in this price range.

The all-new Redmi Note 11 series features a modern flat frame design in a minimalist style that gives a dynamic and secure look in your hand, with a thickness of just 8.09mm and a lightweight of only 179g. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 5G smartphone brings a new craving for mid-range smartphone users. The decent display, huge battery, 5g support, and decent chipset could be a good choice for general mobile users depending upon their needs. However, this mobile does not support any Gorilla Glass protection and is not fully waterproof, only has the splash-resistant capability. But according to the price point, these specifications are acceptable. If you’re looking for an alternative option, you can definitely check out the Xiaomi Poco M3 smartphone in the meantime.
