Reviews for the Oppo A60

60% Oppo A60 5G Review
Source: Trusted Reviews English
Even had the Oppo A60 5G gone for a higher resolution display, opting for IPS over LCD wouldn’t have helped it compete against devices in the same price bracket offering vibrant AMOLED panels. With performance that falls short of said competition, only its bewilderingly strong gaming chops set it apart, making it a tough recommendation for anyone other than parents needing to appease a young child in dire need of a personal entertainment device. While we’re hesitant to recommend it over other bargain handsets like the Motorola Moto G85, it’s still a half-decent (and durable) gaming device for a younger user. Its slower speed and stacked app drawer out of the box could make it suited to the older generation. It just won’t appear on our best budget phones list.

OPPO A60 Review

Overall, nothing really that stands out too much about the OPPO A60. It looks decent, performs well for day-to-day use, and packs a relatively long-lasting battery. In fact, the only thing it has going for it is military-grade shock protection. This makes it perfect for businesses needing a tough and durable smartphone that will surely last but isn’t high spec or expensive. It’s also great for kids or users with butter fingers who might find themselves dropping their phones often. But outside of that, the budget smartphone market has become more competitive in 2024 alone. There are certainly better-equipped phones now in the same price range. So if you want to get the most out of your money, the OPPO A60 isn’t it.

Oppo A60 Smartphone Review
Source: OI Spice Tech News English
The Oppo A60 smartphone some home manages to provide what a user expects from a budget smartphone. The design is brilliant and will surely impress a lot of people. It has a modern design similar to Oppo’s higher-end smartphones, which cost a lot more. The battery is also excellent and may last for 2 – 3 days depending on the usage. The main camera of the smartphone is also good for the price tag. Our main complaint about the camera is due to the lack of any usable secondary camera. Apart from that, there are other issues as well, including the use of older SoC, lack of 5G connectivity, and lack of 1080p resolution. These things could be a deal breaker for many users. These things would have been acceptable if the pricing was decent but is not.

OPPO A60 review – An affordable and durable phone for everyday use
Source: Tech Nave English
The OPPO A60 is an affordable phone that can do most of your daily tasks. It even looks decent, assuming you pick the Ripple Blue variant, which gives it a more premium look. It's also highly durable, so you don't have to worry about it falling on the floor or getting wet in the rain. Considering its asking price of RM699, it's one of the best bargains you can get if you want a phone that looks good and is robust. However, it's not the phone for you if you want something that can play games. There are options with better screen, performance, or photography capabilities available. For instance, go for the TECNO Spark 20 Pro (RM699) if you want a 1080p screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. You can also check out the HONOR X7b, which has a slightly higher price tag (RM799) but features an ultra-wide camera with a similarly tough exterior. Another option is the Infinix HOT 40 Pro (RM649), which is an even more affordable option with a chipset that performs better and has more RAM. That's it for our review of the OPPO A60!

Review – OPPO A60: Only at RM699 and with military-grade resistance
Source: NLT English
Yes, the Snapdragon 680 is old and the performance coming out is not that good. The cameras are usable but not that great either. The battery life is amazing, and 45W fast charging in a budget phone like this is good. Just too bad that they don’t support up to USB-PD PPS standard.

76% Oppo A60 Review – Tough Everyday Budget Phone for Malaysia with stereo speakers and 45W fast charging
Source: Hitech Century English
The Oppo A60 is an exceptional entry level smartphone that has performance ideal for its price point blended with a smattering of other appealing features like an IP54 splashproof rating, long battery life, stereo speakers, a large 90Hz LCD display and a robust MIL-STD-810H rating. The lack of 5G and the plethora of bloatware on the phone is a bit of a downer but this does not detract from what is otherwise a value-packed budget phone.

Qualcomm Adreno 610: Integrated (in the Snapdragon 665) graphics card based on the Adreno 600 architecture. The performance of the GPU is between the Adreno 510 and 512/612 and therefore in the lower mid range. Supports DirectX11_1, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, OpenGL ES 3.2.

Only some 3D games with very low demands are playable with these cards.

SD 680: Fast mid-range ARM SoC with 8 CPU Kryo 265 cores (four fast 2.4 GHz ARM Cortex-A73 based cores in a cluster and four power saving ARM Cortex-A53 based cores at 1.8 GHz) and a rather slow Adreno 610 GPU. Manufactured in 6 nm.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.

6.67":

It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.

» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.

79.4%: This rating is not earth-shattering. This rating must actually be seen as average, since there are about as many devices with worse ratings as better ones. A purchase recommendation can only be seen with a lot of goodwill, unless it is about websites that generally rate strictly.
