Huawei has published the list of devices that will be eligible to receive EMUI 11 beta. All devices should be brought onto the EMUI 11 beta program by the end of November. The list contains 37 devices, including some Honor handsets. Stable EMUI 11 updates start rolling out by the end of next month, too.

The FCC certifies what may be 2021's cheapest Samsung Galaxy A-series smartphone

Samsung has obtained Federal Communications Commission (FCC) approval for a device called the SM-A205M. This, according to several leaks, may be launched as the Galaxy A02 or possibly A02s. Its new registration shows that it is a 4G/LTE-only phone with a rectangular rear camera.

AMD sneaks additional details on the expected RX 6000-series ray tracing performance in the RDNA 2 overview

Even though AMD did not show any ray tracing game benchmarks, it at least mentions a few metrics in a footnote from the RDNA 2 architecture overview. Team Red tested an unspecified RX 6000 model with the DXR SDK more than 2 months ago and the performance seems to be a bit higher than the RTX 2080 Ti, but still lagging by 33% when compared to the RTX 3080.

8C/16T Intel Rocket Lake-S Cypress Cove is based on Ice Lake CPU and Xe GPU, promises double-digit percentage IPC improvements over Comet Lake-S

Intel has offered a high-level overview of the architectural changes coming to Rocket Lake-S next year. Rocket Lake-S will be based on a Cypress Cove architecture, which is a combination of an Ice Lake CPU and an Xe iGPU. Rocket Lake-S will offer PCIe Gen4 support and offer enhanced overclocking and double-digit percentage IPC benefits over Comet Lake-S.
