It has been a few weeks since HMD Global announced the Nokia Essential True Wireless Earphones E3500, its pair of affordable true-wireless (TWS) earbuds. The earbuds are now available to pre-order on Amazon and will begin shipping on November 13. At the time of writing, only Amazon Germany has them, where they retail for €89.90. According to Nokiapoweruser (NPU), the earbuds will soon be orderable in other markets, including Denmark and Finland.
At the heart of the E3500 lies 10 mm dynamic drivers, which HMD Global has complemented with Qualcomm aptX support. The earbuds also support Qualcomm cVc noise reduction, which should limit background noise and enhance voice quality during calls. The earbuds can self-regulate volume based on background noise and reduce wind noise, among other features. There is also an ambient mode should you wish to hear background noise.
HMD Global has integrated touch and voice controls, giving you some freedom as to how you use the earbuds. The E3500 supports Google Assistant and Siri, for reference. The earbuds operate via Bluetooth 5.0 and should last up to six hours on a single charge. However, the included charging case can yield up to 25 hours of battery life before it needs recharging.
