Nokia announces Android 11 roadmap for 14 devices, but the Nokia 9 PureView must wait until Q2 2021 for Google's latest OS

Nokia Mobile has announced its Android 11 roadmap, and it has raised a few eyebrows among fans. Strictly speaking, the Nokia 9 PureView remains the flagship smartphone of Nokia Mobile, albeit one that it announced in February 2019. However, the device will be the last device to receive Android 11, of the 14 that Nokia Mobile plans to upgrade to Google's latest OS.

The Nokia 8.3 5G will be the first of the bunch to receive Android 11, which will then be followed by the Nokia 2.2, Nokia 5.3 and Nokia 8.1. These four devices will receive Android 11 between Q4 2020 and Q1 2021, which Nokia Mobile will then follow with five entry-level models starting in Q1 2021.

Nokia Mobile has also planned to upgrade the Nokia 3.2, Nokia 7.2 and Nokia 6.2 between Q1 2021 and Q2 2021, along with the Nokia 1 Plus and Nokia 9 PureView in Q2 2021. According to the roadmap, it will roll out Android 11 to in the following order:

Q4 2020 - Q1 2021

• Nokia 3.2
• Nokia 2.4

However, the company stresses that people should be patient on the delivery of Android 11 to their devices. Apparently, 'not all customers' will receive Android 11 immediately because of the 'nature of the rollout process'. Seemingly then, Nokia will be rolling out Android 11 in batches to devices.
