If you weren't paying attention to Oppo before, now's the time to start. The Find X2 Pro delivers just about everything you could want from a flagship smartphone, from display to camera to design. Although not cheap, the Find X2 Pro justifies its high price just as much as any other competitor in this category.

Oppo Find X2 Pro might be the most feature-heavy smartphone on the market, providing quality across every inch of its retail space. You get the brilliant combo of a gorgeous display, some unique design options, top drawer performance and a stellar camera set-up. However, a slightly high price and one key omission keeps this phone from greatness.

Despite all its specs, Oppo's flagship model isn't getting the recognition it deserves. This could be due to how the company markets its products. Hopefully, the next iteration will be advertised properly so that consumers and mobile phone fans will realize that the smartphone world doesn't just revolve around known brands such as Apple and Samsung.

The Oppo Find X2 Pro has plenty to offer for those seeking a premium 5G-ready device, and may be one of the surprise winners of 2020. Its hardware is on par with Apple and Samsung flagships, while a 120Hz refresh rate renders the display a pleasure to use, despite failing to hit the highest notes in terms of colour accuracy and brightness.

Chinese phone-maker Oppo may not be on the mainstream radar in the US, but its new flagship should be. In an increasingly crowded field, the Oppo Find X2 Pro is one of the top Android phones of 2020. With a 6.7-inch display, a standout quad-camera setup, supremely fast charging, 5G capability, a 120Hz screen refresh rate and the most powerful Snapdragon processor available, the Find X2 Pro is a stellar handset that in many ways is easy to recommend, especially if you're willing to throw down serious cash for an Android phone that isn't made by Samsung.

Overall image quality from the Oppo Find X2 Pro’s front camera lags somewhat behind the best in class and the selfie shooter cannot match the excellent performance of its rear camera. Although exposure on faces is generally pretty good, very inconsistent HDR activation is frustrating, and slight yellow color casts and desaturated color mean results are often underwhelming. Faces are sharp at medium and long distances, but overall detail remains low except in very good light; and if you’re a fan of close selfies, you’ll find they’re generally out of focus. On a positive note, video performance is slightly better overall and bokeh shots are pleasant, if not perfect.

Is the Oppo Find X2 Pro the ultimate flagship phone to buy this year, given that it keeps you happy in all the crucial areas? I don’t see a reason why shouldn’t consider this over a OnePlus 8 Pro or a Samsung S20 Ultra. It is nicely built, offers top-class performance, has a ridiculously fast-charging system and an amazing set of cameras. For an expensive phone, it does all things right and impressively.

Oppo has launched the Find X2 in India for Rs. 64,990 but the pricing and availability of the Find X2 Pro in India have not yet been revealed. I am expecting it to be priced above Rs. 75,000 which pits it against the Samsung Galaxy S20+ and Motorola Edge+. Should you give Oppo your money? I would possibly say that this is the best available device on the Australian market today. If you want full 5G support, VoLTE, VoWiFi along with local warranty and support you cannot go past this device — and that is the advantage of it over the OnePlus 5G. Add in a first for OPPO with its IP68 rating and it’s a close to complete smartphone.

The Oppo Find X2 Pro is a fantastic smartphone – from its design to its software and features, it exudes premium-ness, and it feels a treat to use. The display in particular is top-end, with a few features which beat out the competition, and it also seems that Oppo is taking strides in creating a truly great post-processing system for photos. You’re really paying for all these great features though, with a price tag that’s just as high-end as the tech, and that may limit its appeal.

If you consider the Oppo Find X2 Pro on its own, it certainly delivers in everything it promised. It’s a beautiful 2020 flagship 5G smartphone with decent camera performance, an envious display, great speaker audio quality, high-end processing power, and reasonably good battery life with crazy-fast charging. It fits very nicely alongside some of the other 5G-ready flagship offerings out there, like the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (it’s a bit of a low-blow to the Huawei P40 Pro if we want to bring up how the Oppo Find X2 Pro still has Google services attached to it).

There is no doubt the Find X2 Pro is a fine premium flagship. It’s super polished all around, with great design, a gorgeous display, and a solid camera system. Performance and battery life are top notch, and even the audio is great (despite the lack of headphone jack). Oppo’s also done a nice job cleaning up and speeding up ColorOS. If you’re abroad and you’re a baller, this might just be the right handset for you -- assuming you can live without wireless charging. Ultimately, this phone is different, but in a good way.

Famous phones are hard to defeat because of their market points and the selling point of the Oppo Find X2 Pro is so underrated. There are 3 remarkable specs in this device that are not being talked about: The design, camera, and display. In most flagship phones, they were equipped with the same latest chipsets, right? You might wanna say that their performance is similar but you have to know that the differences vary on optimizations of their respective operating systems. That is the criteria for choosing a fast and powerful device. Oppo Find X2 Pro is priced P65,990 in the Philippine market. It is premium, elegant, and the design is lovely. An underrated highly recommended smartphone that suits to your personality and daily needs.

Like many similar Chinese smartphones, Oppo’s Find X2 Pro is a device with impressive hardware, let down somewhat by lackluster software. While its screen, design, and processing power are impressive, the phone doesn't top the camera capabilities or the software smoothness found on Google’s latest Pixel devices. It also isn't available in the US, making it a nonstarter for most of our readers. If you're looking for more power than the Pixels can deliver, meanwhile, you'll be better served by the $1,200 Samsung Galaxy S20+, or you can save quite a few dollars on the $900 OnePlus 8 Pro.

I don’t mean to harp on about wireless charging too much because I know a lot of people don’t care. It’s just that it really is my only significant criticism of the Find X2 Pro. Oppo’s latest flagship is a fierce competitor in the audio ring. In keeping with the manufacturer’s promise, the phone delivers a great sense of immersion, as a result of deep low-end extension, punchy sound, good overall spatial rendering, and stellar management of artifacts. The microphones’ performance is on par with the speakers’, offering a very good overall performance, particularly with voices and in loud or complex acoustic environments. That all said, the Find X2 Pro still has a little room for improvement in terms of playback, especially when it comes to precision and clarity.

OPPO did an excellent job with the Find X2 Pro. It’s a solid phone with everything you’d ever wanted in a flagship smartphone — simple, elegant design, impressive performance, and display, great camera quality, good battery life. OPPO just showed us their phones don’t need more cameras in order to produce really great photos. Sure, it took a while for OPPO to release a successor to the original Find X but it eventually pulled through with a very strong contender this time. The Find X2 Pro has a suggested retail price of Php65,990. That’s quite a hefty price, but considering it comes with a very generous 12GB RAM, 512GB storage on top of that Snapdragon 865 chip and 120Hz display, it certainly justifies the extra buck.

Once in a blue moon, a phone comes across our desks that leaves a lasting impression, and Oppo's Find X2 Pro is a welcome surprise of a flagship that does most everything right and in style. Its display is one of the best in the industry, and does 120Hz better than what Samsung did with the S20 series. Its charging is the fastest on a commercial phone, the battery life is superb, the periscope zoom clean, and it delivered some of the highest benchmarks we've seen from Android handsets. Apart from a camera misstep or two, the Oppo Find X2 Pro is one of the finest handsets you can buy at the moment, and that is reflected in its unapologetic pricing that puts it on equal footing with the Galaxy S20 and iPhone 11 series.

The Find X2 Pro is a great phone and should be scored based on how it performs – and in my books, it scores highly. But would I recommend it? Well, for 5G connectivity, awesome performance and a gorgeous display panel, the regular Find X2 offers all that for RM600 less; if you want high res photography, the Samsung Galaxy Ultra packs a 108MP lens for just RM400 more. But hey, if you really want that extra 48MP lens and see no need for a 108MP shooter, then I guess the X2 Pro was made just for you!

Apart from the absence of wireless charging and an earphone jack, there not much you can say against the OPPO Find X2 Pro. It’s good enough to make the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra sweat. Covering its bases in the two critical areas of a smartphone – power and photography – the OPPO Find X2 Pro makes a good dent in the market. Priced at 6,999 RMB in China and 1,199 EUR in parts of Europe, it’s a shade better in pricing compared to the 512GB Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. The OPPO Find X2 Pro is a gem of a phone. Rather than opting for bizarre gimmicks, the Find X2 Pro is a well-reasoned blend of contemporary design and enhancements in areas that matter – a world-class 120Hz display, an excellent rear camera and blazing fast VOOC charging tech though all this comes at a substantial premium. Oppo made its name with midrange phones aimed at young people, but its new Find X2 and Find X2 Pro come packed with flagship specs. The Chinese manufacturer unveiled the new phones -- along with a new smartwatch called the Oppo Watch -- Friday, nearly two years after the launch of its predecessor, the Oppo Find X. The Find X2 costs 999 euros, which converts to roughly $1,130, £870 or AU$1,480. The Find X2 Pro will be 1,199 euros, or about $1,360.

Whether you shoot on a sunny day outside or in a dimly-lit restaurant, or shoot with the ultra-wide angle or the 5x zoom, or record a bokeh shot or a 4K video clip, the Find X2 Pro is highly unlikely to disappoint, making it the go-to device for mobile photographers who rely on their smartphone camera in a wide variety of situations.

There's a lot of ways in which the Oppo Find X2 Pro is unique, but we barely had enough time with it to say 'hi'. The phone is here to stay though, so we'll be spending the coming days exploring that camera system in more detail, testing battery life, putting the spec-heavy display under scrutiny - the usual stuff. Stay tuned.

It is closest to the Samsung S20+ 12/512GB at $1899, but some specifications verge on the S20 Ultra 5G (Periscope camera).

Remember the Oppo Find X? If you live in the U.S., probably not: it was a crazy smartphone that wanted to give you as much screen as your money could buy, so it stowed its cameras behind a motorized, sliding top. In 2018, at the near-nadir of smartphone design excitement, it was pretty awesome. Well, in the world of 2020 smartphones have gotten a lot more ambitious. We’ve got three types of folding phone on store shelves; dual-screen phones are making a comeback; and I just this week saw a trio of crazy concepts from TCL straight out of a sci-fi future (see my Instagram account listed below for the hands-on). Against that backdrop, it’s tough to get excited about something as conventional as the Oppo Find X2 Pro. But with a display that pushes the limits of eyesight, a battery that charges insanely quickly, and the welcome return of the leather backplate … I couldn’t resist a quick hands-on with Oppo’s next attempt to Find X. Join me for a first-impressions look in the MrMobile Oppo Find X2 Pro Hands-On!

Oppo impressed us with the Find X back in 2018, and it looks like they're upping the game with the new Find X2 series, with the Find X2 Pro poised to take on Samsung for the smartphone crown. Packing almost identical internals to this year's Galaxy and with a powerful camera setup and 120Hz screen, the Oppo feels like a seriously premium device. The standout feature might be a massive battery coupled with 65 watt charger that can power up the device in around half an hour. The phone we saw was still not finalized, so we couldn't run a full suite of tests or compare it to an S20 Ultra, but consider us impressed.

Qualcomm Adreno 650: Graphics chip for smartphones and tablets that is integrated within the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. Qualcomm claims that it is 25% faster than the Adreno 640 in the Snapdragon 855 SoC and offers 50% more compute units (ALUs). For Android it should be one of the fastest graphics cards in 2020.
Modern games should be playable with these graphics cards at low settings and resolutions. Casual gamers may be happy with these cards.
» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Graphics Cards and the corresponding Benchmark List.
SD 865: High-end SoC for smartphones that was introduced in late 2019 and manufactured in 7 nm at TSMC (improved N7P). Integrates one “Prime Core” based on a ARM Cortex-A77 architecture clocked at up to 2.84 GHz. Three more performance cores are also based on the A77 but clock up to 2.42 GHz. Furthermore, four energy saving cores are integrated that are based on the ARM Cortex-A55 architecture and clock at up to 1.8 GHz. In addition to the processor cores, the SoC integrates a WiFi 6 modem (including 60 GHz mmWave support), a Hexagon 698 DSP (up to 15 TOPS) and a Spectra 480 ISP. The integrated memory controller now supports faster LPDDR5 memory with up to 2,750 MHz. LTE is not included anymore in the SoC, but the external Snapdragon X55 5G modem has to be used.» Further information can be found in our Comparison of Mobile Processsors.
6.70":
It is a small display format for smartphones. You shouldn't be severely defective in vision, and you won't see much detail on the screen and only have a small resolution available. For that, the device should be small and handy, easy to transport.
» To find out how fine a display is, see our DPI List.88.41%: This is an above-average rating. Nevertheless, it should not be forgotten that about one fifth of all tested models receive a better rating.
» Further information can be found in our Notebook Purchase Guide.
