A Redmi K30 performing better a Ryzen 9 3950X? It's obviously fake. (Image Source: Gizmochina)

Ridiculous Xiaomi Redmi K30 Geekbench entry shows why healthy skepticism is a prerequisite when it comes to interpreting benchmark data

An anomalous Geekbench 5 listing of a Xiaomi Redmi K30 shows scores that are many times more than even a Ryzen 9 3950X. The fact that such a record exists in the official Geekbench database is the reason why buyers should exercise due diligence when considering synthetic benchmarks as a sole yardstick for overall device performance.

MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8T potentially months away; may be same for the Redmi Note 8

Previous information indicated that the Redmi Note 8 would get the Android 10 update with MIUI 12 shortly. That may be in doubt now, however, as word from the Mi Forums claims the MIUI 12 update for the Redmi Note 8T—essentially a Redmi Note 8 for certain markets—is months away.

Oppo Find X2 Lite smartphone review

82% Oppo Find X2 Lite smartphone review - Solid mid-ranger with weak haptics

Haptics as dealbreaker? The Find X2 Lite, like its Find X2 Neo sibling model, is powered by a Snapdragon 765G, but at a current price of 440 Euros (~$495), it is clearly cheaper. The Lite variant's otherwise watered-down interior is also visible on the outside, since Oppo uses a lot of plastic instead of glass in the Find X2 Lite.

Apple may consider continuing with the A13 Bionic in the 2021 iPhone SE.

2021 iPhone SE may see Apple continuing with the A13 Bionic SoC and an iPhone 8-esque design

The 2021 iPhone SE might continue sporting the same A13 Bionic SoC as the current iteration, according to information from known leaker Mauri QHD. This makes perfect sense as the A13 is a pretty powerful chip and gets hardly pushed in the iPhone SE. The 2021 iPhone SE is also expected to sport an design similar to the iPhone 8, but that is not clear at the moment.
