Samsung Galaxy Tab S7: Geekbench confirms Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and 8 GB of RAM for Q3 2020-bound tablet
The Galaxy Note20 series will not be the only Snapdragon 865-powered devices that Samsung releases next month. According to multiple Geekbench listings, the SM-T875 also features Qualcomm's "kona" chipset, which is the codename for the Snapdragon 865. The SM-T875 is thought to be the 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S7, which is believed to be joining the Galaxy Note20 series at next month's rumoured Galaxy UNPACKED event.
The SM-T875 was benchmarked several times last week, all of which include Qualcomm "kona" motherboards. Additionally, all the listings have 8 GB of RAM and run Android 10. The appearance of the latter is unsurprising, especially considering the SM-T875 will be one of Samsung's flagship tablets for 2020.
The SM-T875 has previously seen at 3C with a 7,760 mAh battery too. By contrast the Tab S7+, codenamed SM-T970 and SM-T975 for the 4G and 5G models, respectively, has been spotted with a typical capacity of 10,090 mAh.
Another SM-T87xx model has appeared on Geekbench too, but not one that we have seen before. Called the SM-T878U, the device also has a Qualcomm "kona" motherboard and runs Android 10. However, it has been paired with 6 GB of RAM. We are unsure where this model would sit within the Galaxy Tab S7 product stack, but the presence of 6 GB of RAM suggests that it may be an entry-level model of sorts.
