Samsung has revealed a new series of QLED TVs for its domestic market of South Korea. The QT67 series should attract customers who want the best picture possible but are also concerned about the amount of power being taken from the socket by their TV set. The Samsung QT67 QLED TVs have been given a first-class energy-efficiency rating by the Korea Energy Management Agency.
Six models of the Samsung QT67 TV series have been announced: 43-inch, 50-inch, 55-inch, 65-inch, 75-inch, and 85-inch. Prices for the televisions that have so far been shared include KRW 990,000 (US$824) for the smallest model going up to KRW 5,490,000 (US$4,571) for the 85-inch giant. Samsung states that units in the QT67 series offer “100% color volume” and quantum HDR (the screen is made up of quantum dots).
To sweeten the deal of purchasing a Samsung QT67 TV set, customers can apply for cash back from the Korea Energy Management Agency – set at 10% or a maximum of KRW 300,000 (US$250). Additionally, if shoppers go for a 55-inch model or larger, then there’s KRW 600,000 (US$500) discount available plus a further KRW 300,000 in benefits to be had from Samsung.
