Bloomberg TV+ is provided by the media outlet of the same name. It launched in 2019 as the first such online channel to stream in 4K UHD. Its maker has announced a new partnership by Samsung by which it will appear on this OEM's free video service for its smart screens.

Bloomberg TV+ offers its creator's "data, trusted business and finance programming" on smart screen-type devices. It was the first of its kind to stream in 4K UHD. It does this through the modality of high efficiency video coding (HEVC). Now, it has revealed that it will be doing so as part of Samsung TV Plus.

This is a built-in service that offers access to approximately 120 channels of various categories (news and current events included) for free. It is found on Samsung smart TVs released between 2017 and 2020, and now incorporates Bloomberg TV+. This new addition will be the only one of its resolution on the platform.

The new partnership has been hailed as "a milestone launch with a number of firsts for [both parties]" by Salek Brodsky, Samsung Electronics' Vice President of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development. It may give the channel in question a new path to "millions of viewers beyond Bloomberg's owned and operated channels."
