Realme has announced that it, like many other smartphone brands before it, will introduce its first smart TV soon. This statement has been made on Twitter by Francis Wang, who currently works as the CEO of his company's Indian division. Based on this, and a hashtag for this post that reads: "#RealmeforeveryIndian", it is likely that this first-gen smart TV will be released in this country to start off with.
However, it may be ready to bring to MWC 2020 in Barcelona beforehand; at any rate, we should apparently be prepared to "hear something exciting [about]" this new dimension in screen technology for the company. Accordingly, Wang did not offer further insight on the device at this time.
It would be interesting to see if Realme UI, this brand's new skin for Android, will be ported to this form-factor as its inaugural TV's OS. In any case, should it really target India with this novel product, it will face competition such as the OnePlus Q1 and the Nokia x Flipkart smart screen.
