Xiaomi is set to launch a 65-inch 120 Hz OLED flagship TV on par with the LG C9 and Samsung Q90R
Xiaomi's prowess in the smartphone market is well-documented but the company has also been flexing its muscles in the display department. It's launched a bunch of display hardware over the past few weeks, capping it off with the new US$2800 98-inch Redmi Smart TV Max. The company isn't stopping there, though, and is now set to release yet another TV.
The new TV is expected to be the company's new flagship offering in the space, under the Xiaomi TV Master Series. Dialing in at 65 inches, the Xiaomi TV Master Series sports an OLED panel, and offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, as well as Dolby Certification.
Xiaomi is bigging up the product, too, with CEO Lei Jun describing it as "Xiaomi's ultra-high-end OLED TV" and "very amazing." That in mind, we expect it to sit at the very top of Xiaomi's TV hierarchy and compete in the same space as mainstream premium TVs like the LG C9 and Samsung Q90R.
Sales of the 98-inch Redmi Smart TV Max were impressive, and Xiaomi will be hoping to build on that success with this flagship TV when it's finally launched.
