The stable MIUI 12 update has arrived for the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro in India. The update, which is arriving as an OTA download, is live now. A corresponding OS upgrade has reached the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 10X 4G too.

MIUI 12 has landed for the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro in India. The OS upgrade follows similar ones that Xiaomi has already brought to the devices on the Chinese, EU and Global branches of MIUI. Called V12.0.1.0.QFKINXM, the update is now being rolled out as over-the-air (OTA) upgrade. The OTA update is a 1 GB download.

If your phone is yet to notify you that the OTA is available to download, then you could pull it from Xiaomi's servers instead. Alternatively, you could download the full recovery ROM, which is a 2.3 GB download.

The arrival of MIUI 12 on Indian versions of the Redmi K20 Pro and Mi 9T Pro coincides with the Redmi Note 9 and Redmi 10X 4G being upgraded to Xiaomi's latest OS too. The update is only available for devices on the Chinese branch of MIUI for the time being, but V12.0.1.0.QJOCNXM is also available to download from Xiaomi's servers should you wish to try it out. Please be aware that V12.0.1.0.QJOCNXM is a 2.2 GB download.

To install any MIUI update manually, you must transfer the .zip file to the internal storage of your phone. The file must also be placed in a folder called "downloaded_rom". Then, you must select "Choose Update Package" from within the three-dot menu in System Update. If this option is not listed, then tapping the MIUI logo ten times will enable it. If you opt to install MIUI via recovery, then you also need to put the .zip file on your device's internal storage, but then reboot into receovey mode by pressing the power and the volume up buttons simultaneously. From there, select "Install update.zip" using the power button and allow the update to install.
