Intel may finally match AMD's multi-core performance... one year later. (Image Source: Explica.co)

Leak reveals solid performance gains for the upcoming Intel Alder Lake laptop and desktop processors, likely not enough to beat AMD Zen3+

Sources close to Moore's Law Is Dead claim that the Alder Lake-U CPUs with up to 6 big cores and 8 little cores can deliver double the multi-core performance of current Tiger Lake-U models, and the single-core Alder Lake performance should be 20% better, as well. The top desktop Alder Lake CPUs with 8 big cores and 8 little cores may thus beat AMD's Ryzen 9 5900X models in multi-core loads.

PlayStation 5 die shots confirm no AMD Infinity Cache support; other RDNA features may been cut too

New findings support the idea that the PlayStation 5 does not support AMD Infinity Cache. The first SWIR die shot of the PlayStation 5 points to Sony having cut other RDNA 2 features too, including some FFUs and FMAs or FMADDs.

Seagate Backup Plus Hub 8 TB external hard drive with USB Hub (Source: Own)

Seagate Backup Plus Hub 8 TB hands-on: An USB 3.0 Hub and a 5400 RPM Barracuda combined with decent results

Those who need a USB 3.0 hub with just two ports and a large hard drive can get away with the Seagate Backup Plus Hub, which is usually cheaper than the sum of its parts. In my case, the Backup Plus Hub comes with a Barracuda hard drive inside (8 TB, 5400 RPM, 256 MB buffer), but for ~15% less than the drive alone.

Currently, the highest-res smartphone image sensor in existence is one of 108MP. Obviously, it is used as a marquee feature on the back of devices like the new Xiaomi Mi 11. However, should the prolific leaker Digital Chat Station be believed, it might migrate to the front of upcoming models soon.
