With military-grade protection and IP68 water and dust resistance, the Tab Active 3 is a great option for people working outside or in extreme environments. For a pure tablet experience, though, there are better options.

Overall, we feel that the Galaxy Tab Active3 is another solid entry from Samsung in the arena of rugged tablet. Just be sure to temper your expectations when it comes to flagship performance and truly tablet-worthy applications. For first responders, field workers and outdoor types alike, however, it's a very solid option.

The Galaxy Tab Active 3 is the very definition of a niche device, and one that lacks the performance and refinement for most people. For those who value robustness above all else, however, it’s a pretty tough tablet to beat.

It sports a 8-inch TFT 1920 x 1200 TFT LCD display with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera beside the earpiece. The main imaging sensor is a 13-megapixel unit with LED flash. The Galaxy Tab Active3 runs Android 10 out of the box, and uses Samsung's Exynos 9810 chipset with 4 GB RAM. Internal storage options available are 64 GB and 128 GB. Finally, the 5,000 mAh battery is user-replaceable.

ARM Mali-G72 MP18: Integrated graphics card with 18 cores (from 32) clocked at up to 850 MHz (according to ARM). The G72MP18 uses the second generation of Bifrost architecture and supports modern APIs like OpenGL ES 3.2, Vulkan 1.0, OpenCL 2.0, DirectX 12 FL11_1 and Renderscript.
Non demanding games should be playable with these graphics cards.
